You sound like you was one of the testers and didn't do your job

They spent a bunch of their programming time worried about making a career mode, instead of making the actual sim better.

I would blame the people that spent years demanding a career mode, which is nothing but a distraction from the important stuff like proper 100% working engine sound system.

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, the sound was then there, there is another method, the description is in the FS2024 forum

It's server some times there some times not

Could be server related or not, best to verify files once in a while if on steam especially after patches have been applied...

I love career mods. I use them for many of my flights. Always have. But the career mode in game is a sad and half baked. The worst third party career mods are 10 times better.

And because Microsoft is wasting their time on their half baked career mode, they aren't fixing as many things that only they can fix, like getting the engine sounds working right.

You should accept that the engine sounds, and many other things, don't work properly. It doesn't surprise me one bit that they have a 43% approval once they started making it a flying ETS/ATS career game for XBox users.

Have you got headphone simulation on in the settings? It simulates active noise cancellation and you can barely hear the engine.

I sound like someone whose managed to come to the conclusion that the majority of big game devs do not bother with paying someone to monitor steam forums because of toxic people that just abuse them. Especially when they have their own forum that they have full control over. So comeing to cry about things here is just crying to the people in the same boat as you.
