Low passive income, what am I doing wrong?
Hello everyone,

I don't understand the strange system behind the passive income, what am I doing wrong?

I have a flight seeing company and one for cargo. I have a Cessna for each company. Now I've read that you only get passive income if you fly and do missions yourself. So I flew a mission for each company and made about 140K.

The crew is on for both planes, the planes were both serviced after the missions, were washed and I put them both at an airport where a respective mission was available.

One day later I got a passive income of 11K, is that a joke? Even if I had done both missions as an employee, I would have gotten more.

What's missing? Do I have to mutter a magic spell when I finish the game or which god do I have to make a sacrifice to? This can't be true.

Thank you very much for the help, greetings

You get about 15k per hour for a Cessna 172 as passive income.
Which isn't bad.

You don't have to fly in evry company. Just choose the freelance mission you want to fly and all the other aircrafts in all your companies that are on Crew ON generate passive income for your flown hours and you get it billed the next day.

Thanks for the answer, but that doesn't make any sense. I flew for over 2 hours, so why do I only get 11K for both planes?
I've done so many missions as an employee in the last few days, spent many hours on them and I didn't get any passive income at all during that time. Then that can't be right.

Possibly only counts flown hours as a freelance? It wouldn't surprise me if they made it like that either on purpose or it's a bug. But it would prevent buying a plane and then just doing employee missions to rack up the passive.

Al speculation though as iv made to meny bad choices in career and still only have 1 208b lol I once got 40 credits as passive income when I bought a vision jet and needed to go make money to transfer it to a mission. But upon loading into the vision jet for the first time all my landing gear broke and control surfaces and didn't have the million to repair

i shouldn't give this tip of mine here but... If you are in a plane in indépendant mission, clock will start for passive income. no matter what you do.

So... start any ind. mission and just stay in the cockpit. if you have to go to work IRL, just live it in this state, when you come back do a "restart mission" then "abandon mission". time passed in cockpit will count for passive income.

Just be careful.... i tried to leave it for around 18 hours = passive income reach his top amount around 7 hours then, i wont generate that much, BUT it will destroy your aircrafts heavily.

Hope that helps a bit. sry for language, not my native one. fly safe

I can confirm the passive incomes hours count from Mission Start till Mission End and you not even have to enter the cockpit and can stay outside according to my own measurement from yesterday/today

See steam thread: "Passive Income Hours?"

That you can also restart and abort..that is crazy.. so much to we want ppl to work/earn the money.

To the OP:

If you flew both planes then you will see both planes listed for the full hours but each one only gets the money of the hours where you was NOT flying it.
So basicly you you have to add the 2 credits of the plane and thats the passive income of one plane for the full time.

I measured 18.2 k / hours passive income for the Cessna 172 form yesterday to today (note there was a patch in the middle of the day yesterday)

Wonder one thing....

Does this only works in career...
Or could I fly outside in career in free flight mode and the hours count?

Guess not...but that would allow me to finally fly the Airbus they prevent us from using.
So sad that all they offer to us is the Boing 737Max

Only freelance missions on your own plane are counted. You can abuse it decreasing sim rate, setting autopilot and going AFK. In addition more your NON-active plane costs - more passive income you will get. Passive income is updated every day 01:00 CET and you should be offline at this time. And do not forget to set Crew - On. Crew don't use plane with bad condition so after 5 days you should check conditions of all planes and repair it (seems like insurance doesn't work on planes that are used by crew).

But that can't really be true, I did several missions with my own plane (cargo missions) and made about half a million and it took several hours, my passive income was 0, with both companies.

And yes, the planes were serviced, clean and were at an airfield with existing missions.

If this works for all of you, then something must be broken in my files. Kind of weird. I have no idea how I can change that.

It's weird how they have this weird real life time system. Why not calculate the time passed when you are flying, or even sitting in your office, and just randomly give your crewed planes missions, and calculate how long they will take. And when that time has passed, you get a small pop-up message in the corner saying that one of your planes have finished a mission, and then give you the money from it. It shouldn't be hard.

How do you know you got 0 passive income?
Eva Dec 22, 2024 @ 11:55am
I have yet to get a single $ of passive income. I have two G2 visions and a 172. One of the G2s and the 172 are crewed. I have done many hours of freelance missions with the uncrewed G2. This is supposed to work since I am flying the uncrewed G2.

Hmm.. Maybe it depends on the Region?

I fly in central Europe mostly and had all planes delievered to Zuerich LSZH.

So far I got passive income every day from ever of my planes.
I even have 2 Vision Jets and when I fly it sometimes takes the one or the other (whatever is closer) and the other creates passive income in that time so at the end I see both Visions listed with a passive income which together add up to a passive income of one Vision Jet.

It is very reliable. I even calculate on it each day!

I also have been flying central Europe as I find dealing with the mountainous terrain more interesting.
Eva Dec 23, 2024 @ 4:36am
I finally got the Passive income but I have no idea why now and not earlier. It was a hefty sum too. I ended up with about 250 grand.
