The Grand Caravan's autopilot is a mess and will make your plane stall... Learned at my own expense.
No, you can keep the smaller plane and assign a crew to it. You should be able to run both Medium and Small missions then. Also, don't know about Australia... I wanted to fly around Italy (where I live) but honestly missions in the United States / Canada are much better. Like, the area around Chicago / Toronto / Philadelphia is full of missions!
I know the "hot spot" seasonal thing isnt currently working so im interested in seeing if others have tried certain areas
(Not certain what your issue is with the 208, but it's all I fly. I cruise at an alt of 10k-14k. I make about 800k per mission. I do stay in the steat through out most of the flight. (Bathroom break and coffee refills.) Turbulence has sent me down once. I've got almost 8mil in the bank with it.) TO THE OP.. save up enough money to buy the 208 and take it on a few runs if it works for you keep it, but don't sell your only company plane as it will take you forever to recoup the money to buy another one.
Actually, maybe you can help me then, because I really don't know what I'm doing wrong.
On takeoff, I set the trim correctly, put down flaps in takeoff position, I apply full power and as soon as I pull my yoke the plane begins to scream "stall" at me.
Then, if somehow I manage to not crash it, I setup the AP (of course switching to GPS source instead of VOR) and it begins to swerve left and right, like it can't keep going straight...
All while the ATC keeps telling me to expedite the climb.
Like... What am I doing wrong? I know I have more experience with Jet planes (over 2000 hours of flight in MSFS 2020) but I don't feel like I'm that bad...
I tried this as well, but the temperature goes into red if I keep it at full power.
I have looked into tutorials as well from pilots that actually fly this plane, I just can't figure out why this thing doesn't want to climb for me or why the AP doesn't keep going straight...
I had two instances in which I had to abort the entire flight because the AP caused a stall with this constant going left/right.
Yep, I fly always at 1x and go faster only when I'm estabilished with AP after the initial manoeuvring... With a full sim setup (yoke, thrust levers and rudder) I enjoy flying properly... But like said earlier, the swerving begins as soon as I turn on AP.
pilatus works for you?
When I attempt to fly the pilatus it piles up vram quickly and overflows stalling in massive stutters. Just the pc-6 and the dhc-2 do that since last patch.
Strangely enough, the only thing that's wrong with the Pilatus for me is the lack of pressurization in the cabin... Movement-wise I have no problems! I have your problem with the Grand Caravan!
(But keep in mind I have a PC for graphic 3D working, so it's super powerful and has a ton of RAM).
