If you are skilled you can do an emergency landing on any airport even without any engine.
Unfortunatly the mission then still says failed but your aircraft will be fine.
If you never have attempted such just try once outside the career to get a feeling about it. It's all about a good judgment about hight and distance and a good speed management.
There is a famous real life crash report called "Gimli glider" where an airliner pilot used a special sailplane method to decrease it's altitude faster because the airport was too close and glided and landed the plane safe.
I used that method in FS2024 too. Works fine.
You have to see it as an adventure. It is a simulation so you can try things out without any risk. A sandbox playground. Enjoy! :)
