The blades of Robinson R66 rotate in the opposite direction!
Hey fellow pilots! šŸ‘‹
Yesterday I noticed something odd with my R66—the blades were spinning the opposite way! After landing and stopping the rotors, I saw the trimmers were actually facing forward! 😳 In flight, the heli feels super unstable—it’s impossible to hover, it just wobbles side to side like crazy. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

If it’s a glitch, how do we flag this for the devs? Let me know your thoughts! 🚁✨

The R66 blades spin CCW, if the MSFS2024 adaptation spins CW as seen in your video, it“s clearly wrong :)
Anyways, the helicopter physics in this game are a mess, you“re in good company i guess.
I know a little bit about the R22, and nothing about the R66. I found a video of one starting up, the blades in a real R66 spin CCW as advertised. You can't see the blades in the video, but the shadow is clear.

Here is a R22, you can clearly see the blades.

i“ve been a while since i had hands on the 22 but it“s where i was trained on decades ago. I“ve never had the priviledge to sit in the r66 but they all spin the same ccw :)

So yes, kudrin113“s issue seems rather strange....

I wrote to support. It turns out that I wasn't the only one who noticed this problem. This has been in place since November last year.
Support is not responding.
MSFS sells copies in the millions. If just 1% of users file bug reports, that's still a mountain of complaints to wade through. Priority patches will take precedence over which way a prop spins.

As for not responding to you personally, does Microsoft ever do that? Do you have any concept of how much larger they are than you? You are less than an ant to them. I still appreciate you, though, you crazy lug.

Hello,
Yes i experiment it this morning, the main rotor blades rotate in the opposite direction of the shape of the blades, so in CW direction. Like french helicopter, that's why :))
Crazy, it is not fixed at now...
