There is one I know ehen you end the missions in VR and when you press enter in VR and it should go to the HQ..there it seems to crash often or always. So I make sure to leave VR whenever the mission is finished.
"Unexpected error"
"You can not continue this mission"
Error code: 308-400-00209
I don't know what he has but I have 64Gb, 4070 Ti Super and a 128Gb rolling cache on a Samsung 980 Pro with read speeds up to 7,000 MB/s and still get the errors. I'm assuming the problems lie on the server side. Lets hope the next patch addresses some of those annoying career issues.
I never had a CTD with MSFS 2024 but the error it generates brings me back to the career managing screen and I have to start over every time.

For those interested, I finally figured out what was generating the "Unexpected Error code: 308-400-00209" and prevented me to do any freelancer missions. Maybe it'll work for some of you also, but in my case it definitely was definitely the refuel I was doing at the beginning of the freelancer missions. I figured it out thanks to a content creator YT video where he mentioned that every time he would try adding fuel to his plane during a freelancer mission it would crash the mission, so I tested his theory.
In employee mode I made a habit of always topping off my fuel tanks before every flight. But it seems you cannot do that with freelancer mode without generating the error. I've just completed 6 back to back missions (made about $565K) in a row without refueling and without any problems and also without restarting the sim even once in the last 8 hours.
So I started another mission just for the sake of testing, fueled the plane before taxiing and as soon as I made it to the runway and applied throttle, the error 309-400-00209 popped up again.
The only thing that was left for me to do to confirm was to test another mission with no refuel. And I just completed a 2 hours flight on autopilot at 9,000 ft, landed at the airport & taxied to parking and no problems at all and made another $117K.
So no, it definitely was not hardware related in my case.
