Crashes / bandwith issues, etc.? Read this!
Ok guys, especially after patch 2 i had so many issues with CTDs and low bandwith / data/texture loading issues (while my fiber connection was idling....).
Here are some things that I hope will fix it for you, because it did for me.

1. Uninstall the game including the rolling cache and AppData folders. (Progress will be saved if you have cloud sync enabled for the game in steam)
2. Install MSFS2024 and set up a new and large enough rolling cache (something between 60-130 GB),
3. DO NOT USE MSI Afterburner or any OSD apps (incl. NVIDIA overlay) while playing MSFS2024
4. Try to stick to TAA instead of DLAA/DLSS. If you have to use DLSS to gain performance be careful if you are swapping the stock DLSS version with the latest. That caused CTDs for me.
5. Users of Deutsche Telekom should consider using different DNS servers for IPv4 and IPv6 (like the cloudflare servers) since the default Telekom DNS servers tend to suffer from quite some package loss (even if the bandwith seems ok in speed tests).
(6. Be sure not to activate dynamic mode in graphics section, can be overlooked easily)

After doing these i have
* smooth gameplay
* no CTDs
* high speed loading times for missions with full bandwith being used
* now low textures

Until now these things changed everything for me, from nearly unplayable since patch 2 to super smooth now. In case that issues might be popping up again i will report here. But i really encourage you guys to try the steps above. They are not random but the result of intensive internet research that i had to go through to somehow find a solution.

Thanks, I had bandwith issues 20 minutes ago. I just changed to cloudflare DNS server (I am at Deutsche Telekom) and now it works. Not sure if it is a coincidence, I will keep an eye on it!

Potentially depends on which features you use and how. If everything works perfectly fine for u w/o any crashes ever...good for you :)

Well the game pushes the graphics card a lot, so if you are using Afterburner to push it even further that is not very sensible. I only use Afterburner to quiet down my computer when idle.

I use it for thd curve and to lower the power usage a little.

Low textures, no flight loading at all.
Deutsche Telekom -
I fixed the DNS once and it seemed to help back then.
I still have the other DNS but nothing is loading at all :(

I really think reinstalling after patch 2 is the most important thing to fix a lot of stuff. This was also recommended by Asobo lately.

CTDs did not fully disappear for me also. But it is MUCH better now.
I also stopped switching too much between cockpit and external cameras during flight.
Basically i try to avoid everything that could stress the HW too much.
I also discovered that there are some missions (especially turbo machine flights) that are bugged and are prone to crash at certain points during the mission. I also check/repair installed files after each crash (using the steam checks).
Let's hope the big patch coming next week will fix some of the root causes.

Did you already try to reinstall the game (and delete its cache) after patch 2?

I just deleted any cache files, did a complete re-install.
Loading the main menu, first thing i see is the "low bandwidth" info and blurred textures.
Flights are not loading at all.

using updated and manually tweaked DLSS library. All stable, no issues.
4080S no overclocking

changing the DNS server did the trick for me - apparently the ones Telekom provides dont work well with fs24.

Thanks @NothingButTheBlues!

I finally fixed all my CTDs by adjusting some settings in BIOS:

* reduced the CPU core undervolting a tiny bit for my 7800X3D
* changed the XMP profile settings for my RAM to a bit more conservative one

I changed both settings at the same time, so i can't be 100% sure what fixed it. While both original settings were very carefully choosen/optimized and do run 100% stable in all games i play, they seem to lead to CTDs in MSFS2024.

So to all you guys with XMP profiles activated and maybe also some CPU undervolting going on: Try lowering the BIOS settings, even if they work 100% for all other games you play.
