Career mission payouts
Did they change how much you get per mission? For some reason I am being paid much lower for flights now.

One thing that can do this is your reputation going down the sink.

You have a job base pay, and then numerous bonuses that can be added to it. Not skipping, handling bad weather, your rating bonus of the flight itself as well as your character rating bonus. If you've lost rep, or skipped part of the jobs, you'll get paid considerably less.

My rep is halfway between a and s. I am talking about the base pay being lower.

I think they did. In the beginning of a mission i am getting showed a different amount of money (23k) than what I get after the mission as base income 17k. This wasnt the case yesterday. However I am now getting "bad weather bonus" of 7k extra...while I was flying at nice weather (i didnt made the IFR license yet). So maybe the game is deducting this amount, because it knows about it...I dont know....if they dont tell what they are changing, its just guessing all the time.

They did. Sightseeing missions paid 2k+ now they are paying ~1.3k

of all the issues this game has they decided that LOWERING payouts and increasing the grind was the thing to do now? It's beyond stupid.

Buy your first company as soon as you can to fly sightseeing missions, no reason not to, the payout is A LOT more.

Better to grind out another $10k and go straight to cargo runs. Those pay wayyy more than sight seeing. I've had cargo runs that give 500k xp and as much as $240k reward and yes that's with using time dialation.

Then I'm sure it's a bug. I've found jobs in some areas paying less than $100 for a flightseeing mission. Especially around DC.

Payouts are tied to the expected duration of missions. Last night I noticed all of the flightseeing missions available to me had reduced from 45 minutes to 30 minutes, therefore they had also reduced payouts by about a third. Pretty annoying when you go from earning up to 40k down to more like 25k for company missions.

The actual durations and distances of these flights are still basically the same. Maybe 30 mins is closer to what they actually take, but it’s still pretty frustrating when what it boils down to is earning less for doing the same thing, i.e. more grinding.

And to be clear, my reputation has been unchanged throughout all of this. Playing on series x.

Among the many things I don't like or understand about this game, I would like to know why the jobs are called missions. My company isn't dropping the SAS into a foreign country, it is picking up jobs/contracts.

I restarted my career and that is the path I am taking, although so far I have avoided using Sim Rate.

Yea you're right I should have done this because the price for the second cessna is insane (something like 250k)
Better jump straight to cargo.

Tell me how you opened a freight company. I have all the conditions met but I can't buy it, it's not active

Do you have enough money to buy a plane left over?
