What in the world?? Insurance?
So, I started the day with 60k credits in career mode. I started a cargo flight but aborted it 20 minutes in due to crazy wind conditions. I did not fly anything else today.

I just logged on to the game, went to career mode and see that the game billed me 60K for insurance. I took the middle option which looks like it should be 6k per light hour.

For my freight plane, in the four days that I have owned it, I have been charged roughly 140K in insurance! The plane only shows 9 hours of flight time.

I'm confused

What more is there than flight hours? It specifically says 6,730 credits per flight hour. My plane has a total of 9 flight hours. That should be 60,570 total not 140K

I guess the game assumed you jumped out of the perfectly good plane like that lunatic youtuber did a few years ago, and billed you for the damage, lol

It means you're intelligent and you SHOULD be confused. Obviously people at Asobo had a major brainfart and made it completely ridiculous and senseless and unrealistic. With maximum insurance you can buy a new Cessna 172 in 25 hours of flight time with those premiums but yet many times they don't even pay you the 80% back. It's a complete mess to say the least. I mean WHO in the world pays over 10k for insurance per flight hours? Seriously

It's microsoft, and since BO6 probably isn't going to rake it all in they might be positioning this toward a pay to win method. You don't HAVE to pay, but you'll have to successfully fly 1,820 missions to make up for that rubber you left on that runway last time.

I crashed into a building that appeared out of nowhere. Somehow I wasn't charged anything and my plane was fine. I was going 1kt so maybe that's why.

People that don't know how to fly.

The career is completely broken at the moment. The insurance company dries my account to zero every day, regardless of the number of flight hours. It is also impossible to switch from the premium to the standard insurance method. My choice is not saved. Career could be the most interesting mode for this simulator, but critical bugs do not allow you to use it. I know that most people have exactly the same problems. I hope these bugs will be fixed.

I didn't fly my own plane for a whole day, but the previous day i hadn't enough money to pay the insurance. I came back the next day having only flown for other companies, and my money was back at zero. I guess if you don't have money to pay it straight away it'll just keep taking the money until you've paid off your "debt", instead of giving you negative money?

I'll try and do a couple of my own missions now and leave a load of money in the account and see what it does every day for a few days.

On the MSFS forums somebody says that they don't believe insurance is resetting to 0 each day and just accumulating.

I played career a week ago and when i logged on the other day I got the insurance bill. no problem. I do a 300NM employee mission and I get an error right at the end wasting all that time. Then it bills me AGAIN for the insurance. Today I open the game and I got billed a 3rd time. 2 of them are the same bill with different dates. If you could go negative I would be -500K CR right now. (my headquarters background is missing some assets but I am not sure if that has anything to do with this glitch). I reinstalled the game just now. I hope that fixes it.
