without mods it launches when you see the gyrocopters.
Until I see several weeks of consistent 100% streaming functionality regardless of high demand times then it's not fixed by a long shot in my view.
And that's before looking at other bugs and shortcomings.
Usually the start option becomes available as the stretcher is being loaded into the plane in the opening cinematic
Because aside from the connection issues (which are mostly fixed for me, apart from ocasionally being kicked back to the main menu mid flight because of loss of connection), there's tons of bugs and many game mechanics are just as half-assed than in the last edition, or nowhere near the quality of even the free mods.
After a fairly frustrating 20 hours in career mode full of problems described by others in other threads, i've now hit a bug in the maintanance menu of my plane that pretty much ruins the save :)
theres definitely a lot more going on than just 'server issues', nice to know that the head of MSFS or whatever is set on denying it rather than fixing it
I have the same connection as you and it's not that bad, the game takes longer at some points, the first time I installed it and played it didn't even take 5 minutes and the second time it took a little longer but nothing serious, you're exaggerating.
