its geared to be fully playable via streaming but us "analogue" fliers will be catred for too, although all systems may not be in place yet.
The caching, is mainly to reduce streaming load in local areas, but by no means ever intended to be "offline" AFAIK.
it'll be just as offline as 2020.
Try disconnecting from the internet before you load the game. Not saying it can or cannot, just curious what happens.
Its maybe 2024 but the western world has gone backwards . MSFS should at least give players a choice . offline mode .
Nah. I can play previous versions and other flightsims just fine without 2PB of storage. They are still playable without the satellite images.
I play on medium because my graphics card isn't great but it still looks great. The only thing that looks rubbish is the reflection in the canopy assuming that is what it is - all pixellated and blurred artifacts which look strange. I will have to look at the setting for those.
Other than that it looks like a great game.
If it can't connect in a couple of mins(?) it aborts the flight / mission entirely, you can't hold on that screen or get back to where you were.
Hope they change this in future :/
