I f*cked up (or the game did)
Just because I got greedy and thought that the game were giving me money for free, I can't buy an aircraft for my company in like...for ever.

The thing that happened was that I was just creating my company and bought my first heli for about 19k. Then I saw that I could sell it for about 130k and thought, "sweet, free money. Then I can buy a much better one instead". So I sold it, went to buy a new one, and saw that everything now cost over 250k, even the used ones that I just bought for 19k...
And the employee missions still only give between 1k-8k roughly.
So it's going to take forever to buy a used aircraft again =(
Don't do what I did.

So you're determined to grind up that money?
I just lost the will to play the game now.

Anyone knows if you can start over with your career or something? Maybe cheat in some money, just so I can get my heli back that I bought at least?

yeah i put in too many hours and have too many certs to start again, but yes you can restart your career by clicking your name up the top right on the bar then the buttons are "SHIFT + DEL" to delete your career progress

You are not alone. I also did that and reset my career.

Here some tricks to get back fast:
1. Bind "Simulation Rate" in the controls. With that you can simply speed up how fast everything is simulated, you will need it later on
2. Unlock the Light Cargo Transport first. Only do the Private/Commercial license and then run the stuff to unlock those type of flights
3. Grind the longest transport run you can find. Here comes the simulation rate handy. Once you are in the air and on the straight line to the target, you mostly have to fly 100-300km. Hit the AutoPilot and Increase the Simulation Rate as far as possible (i think it goes up to 5x, but go as much as your PC can handle). At 4x times and around 90-100 knots speed you shave off around 1 km per second. That makes those runs only take 15-20 minutes in total (instead of hours).

Not only do you get immense XP for that, but also mass on credits. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my run today too with selling my first plane and was back up to 25k credits within 3 hours to buy anew.

You can start the career again (the option is in your profile settings I think). One one hand, I'd say it's almost a funny way to troll players, thinking they could earn this much money so easily. But I cannot blame you for doing it, I think I would end up in the same situation pretty quickly XD

yeah but thats like the same amount im getting now without even increasing the sim speed lol all you need to do is vip passenger missions in bad weather and you get around 14k per each run so im getting 28k in roughly the 3 hours sometimes less as i did my jet cert & transport them in jets.

Thanks for the tips!
I will try that out then. Maybe even try it out without resetting my career first and see how fast I get 120k more over the 130 I have.

Yeah, true. thats what you get for being greedy, I guess.

You were greedy and you were punished. I really like this aspect of game. There are consequences and that is good. For example I was changing complete tires, brakes and gears on my cessna today becaose I brake and land like savage - and it is eating my earnings quickly.

There are two different things of breaking your stuff because of your skill and losing stuff because the game explains it bad.

Why can you sell your only plane anyway? Whats the point in having the company active if you dont have a plane to fly as one? Why is the selling listed for 170k when you bought it for 29k?

And it is a fair point to anticipate that it would have work, because this game is a buggy mess on every corner.

Punishing for bad gameplay yes. But this makes no sense. Why can you sell used aircraft for more than its original price? And why can you not buy any other use dplane for the same price then?
tmaddox Nov 23, 2024 @ 3:45pm
The game should probably let you know that you are getting the first plane for a 90% discount. Then people might think twice about selling it so quickly.

Either that or prohibit selling if that plane if it is the only one in your fleet

This went through my mind at the time also.
And that I thought "finally a bug that works in my favor" after having so many bugs that ruin your gameplay, but nope, it of course was something of the latter.

I just tried this. It worked fine for a while until my fuel supposedly ran out. The gauges said the fuel was low, but I found a button that had something to do with fuel, pressed that and the gauges said the fuel was fine again, but the plane didn't want to accelerate back up and crashed anyway.
Also, theres nothing telling you how high or low sim rate you have. So it's hard to know what's the regular speed.

True, if you push the simulation further than your PC can handle then bad things can/will happen. It was just the low fuel warning which is normal, but what most likely happened was that your engine died due to overload. On those flights don't push the engine to the max but keep it on the lower end of the green/yellow RPM gauge.

Happened for me too two times so far. Can also be that it was just a bug with increased sim rate, idk.

My pc handled it fine. I got to max sim rate until it said that I couldn't increase it further with AP activated, which was about 5 presses of increase simrate.
Good to know about not pushing the engines too much. I did see the rpm flashing red, but I tried lowering it until it didn't. But that made me fly really slow.
I don't know if I should use another button for it maybe. All I can do on a xbox controller is to press B.
