thrustmaster Hotas 4

Will this controller ever work for this sim. Or am i out 200.00 Canadian dollars. I'm not buying a new one, works perfectly in MSFS 2020. Am i stuck with that.

I have the tflight Hotas one, and have issues in 2024, namely the pedals dont work, but it works perfectly in 2020. If you search here, many people have issues and it seems the T-flight Hotas don't work well, at least out of the box.

I have the T-Flight Hotas X for PC and yeah, it's borked in 2024. In 2020, all I had to do was plug it in and the sim immediately recognized it and all the controls were ready and I could fly, no sweat.

I tried to create all the control bindings in 2024, and have only had some success. The left side controls seem to work wrong, I am flying the Bell 407 like I did in 2020 and something definitely isn't right. Whatever control setup they had for my Hotas in 2020 needs to be added in 2024, because I am SO confused.

Any tips?

Totally agree with this, I have this flight stick as well, can fly the planes no problem after setting up the rudder.

Helicopters don't work though, there's too many conflicts if you look at the nose down and up settings, 6 conflicts. I'm not going to delete them all because I don't know which settings is which.

Would be nice if someone had a profile for Hotas X so we can just use that. Microsoft needs to update this in a patch I think.

They are working. Whats ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up are the profiles....they seem to be partly completely broken. You have to map your sticks by yourself and using the right axes and looking for double mappings which can bite each other so heavy that you basically cannot fly.

Make very sure you have the thrustmaster driver downloaded and installed from the thrustmaster website. You will probably still need to configure things to work.

Yep I made sure I did this before anything else and you're right, you do have to configure things yourself.

I didn't mind doing it for the plane as it was just the throttle conflicting with the rudder so that was easily changed. When you start to get into helicopters though, there is a lot more conflicts (for me)

I'm not going to go through each one as I don't know which is which, watched a few videos on it then gave up, didn't have the patience for it. All they need to do is bring the settings from 2020, I can't remember having problems from the start like I did with 2024.

Same problems with VKB Gladiators. Really hope they add profiles soon. Trying to map every control for fixed wing and helicopter is really annoying

I got a Hotas 4.
Was a bit of a pain to get it working properly.

Make your own profile at controls.

Search:

Elevator Axis > push forward on stick
Aileron Axis > push left
Rudder Axis > push one of the rudders
Throttle Auto > push throttle

Don't touch 'rudder left, rudder right' and those settings. That didn't work for me.
I tried that for a while and it was frustrating

I got it properly working now.
