this is a real grind i have my PPL and 1 other liscence but i can only do ferry and sight seeing missions and nothing else and at the end of missions i only earn 500 credits

but i do skip everything expect for take off and landing? is that a mistake? because with the default plane its going to take hours to fly to the waypoint without skipping

If you want to grind money, unlock support transport. Once you have them use "Simulation Rate" to speed up the game (its in the controls) so you dont have to fly 1-2 hours for those 100-300km but only 5-10 minutes.

That way you don't lose the bonuses for skipping.

To each their own, but to me thatwould feel like cheating. I could very easily change my mind if the missions get much longer but for now I will stick to real time.

To me the career mode is something I hope keeps me occupied for a long time so I don't feel like I need to rush through it in the first week.

I saw somebody yesterday stating that they had completed career mode by unlocking everything. I could not understand that. I am sure they may have had all the licenses but had they purchased all of the businesses? Built up a fleet? Earned enough to buy a 100 million credit airliner? Found a career they enjoyed doing so that they could continue doing more of those missions?

what do you mean support transport and i tried to speed up the sim rate but in the default plane its waaaay too slow and if i go higher sim rate my fps just drops and i lose control of the plane

My bad, meant Light Cargo Transport. Thats the one you in general unlock after skydiving.

And for the sim rate increase, do as much your PC can handle. It can go up to 5x (for me 4x is max).

Thats how I was grinding it with the Cessna you get with those flights.

yeah i tried to do a cargo mission and i can speed up the sim rate 2 or 3x times and after that its just gets too crazy? But were do you see your sim rate speed?

but for me even at 2 or 3x speed it is way too slow with a cessna so im not sure what else to do

You can't see it sadly. You can just press the button and after 5 times it seems that it doesnt speed up anymore (at least on my side).

What might help is to turn down the graphics as much as you can bare, but this operation is more CPU heavy then GPU wise.

good idea to turn down graphics settings but when the sim rate is speed up so much how do you control the plane? Msfs2024 doesnt have a auto pilot option in the toolbar like 2020 did and i searched in the keybind settings and i dont see a option to turn on auto pilot, so what do you do to control your plane on high sim rate?

The Cessna 172 Skyhawk (the plane you use for those flights) does have AP. It's on the display on your fornt labeld with the button "AP".

You can also enable to keep altitude and head towards GPS route, you only have to press the buttons on the display.

It has auto pilot but it does not have the option for the AI Co Pilot to fly the plane. I don't think that would work anyway since the Cargo missions don't seem to have the GPS set for the trip.

I do use autopilot though. Once I get to altitude i get my plane pointed in the right direction and use heading mode to keep me flying that way. Then I can just take in the surroundings, hop up to go to the bathroom or grab a snack and the plane keeps chugging along.

thank you but the game doesnt have that AP button in the tool bar like msfs2020 so you have to turn it on for every plane, which sucks but AP cant land on its own so u still have to pay attention and i did my 1st mission now with speed up sim rate and AP and i earned 6k, which was very nice so thanks for the suggestion

its not auto pilot like in msfs2020 were it would follow the waypoint AP in 2024 just keeps the plane stable it doesnt follow the waypoint and goes in its own direction

Not to worry, soon you will be able to buy "career bucks" from Microsoft with real world money. I hope this is a false rumor...
Sonic 2024 年 11 月 23 日 下午 2:11
i did my first solo flight with my company and i only earned 3k and that was for not skipping

You have to switch to "Freelancer" view in the mission world map. Else you still fly for others.

That will definitely come. And most certainly to buy career planes with real money, else the marketplace button wouldnt be there in the career mode in the first place.
