If MSFS 2020 is anything to go by you will find certain DLC, etc. will not be available on the XBox/GamePass.
I am pretty sure I read that it will be the same for MSFS 2024. The majority of the DLC will work on both. When it comes to third-party utilities it may be worse.
But why box yourself in, just in case the one you want is not on the GamePass/XBox.
Have had MSFS both on GamePass/XBox and PC and still think PC is better bet.
I have seen bugs, but on the other hand, I have been enjoying it as well.

I used Gamepass for a month for MSFS 2020 and then once happy I moved to investing in the PC version.
The only issue I have had with the GP version is that Tobii doesn't have permission to access the MSFS24 exe. This is because Microsoft restricts the folders and files of games/programs that are downloaded through the MS Store and Xbox app. It's annoying and their are work arounds to get Tobii to work, but I'm just dealing with the camera being bound to the thumb stick on my HOTAS. Other than tat the sim is pretty fun and the career mode has me excited to play MSFS again.
No, you got a free trial of those games. If you don't keep paying for GamePass, you'll lose access to them. I prefer to just buy the games I want to play. No monthly subscriptions(except for Final Fantasy XIV).
