Can´t change plane or place

Since yesterday I have not been able to see anyting else but my backyard in the same plane I keep crashing in trees all the time.
I picked the cessna in free flight from start. Picked a place close to home and start flying.
Had no clue how this works really. I went back to main menu and in free flight i picked another plane and another place in another kontinent. But I keep ending up in the same Cessna close to home.
Same happens if I choose photomode and want to see some of the world wonders or the other places. Everytime the earth spinns around and starting a flight in my Cessna again.

Do I have to end this flight in some special way? I have escaped and ended the flight. Did I do wrong not planning anything else but the startlocation? Or is this possible related to all other problems with this sim atm?

Its now my 3:rd day and can´t change plane or place. Has anyone experience this problem too?`I´ve tried to unistall the game and instllaed again. But that didn´t change anything. Why can´t I change flightroute or aircraft?

In Free flight mode: Should I be able to change aircraft?? Instead of continue flying a cessna, can I change to a new free flight and fly another aircraft?
And will I be able to change location in Free flight? Or if I´ve already started a flight in Free flight, how will I end it to be able to change aircraft and a new flightpath? Except for the obvious esc and main menu.

When im spinning around the globe and chosing a new airport to start a flight from in Free flight mode, There is a choice to start flight witout having to set anything else. I didnt had to designate a special location to go to.
I´ve ended the first flight and I´ve tried to select many other locations to start from but every start change my location back to the first one.

I have exactly the same problem. Because of this error, I have not been able to start a company for 3 days. There is no solution yet, I tried everything I could.

Thank you for telling this!!! Then I know im not the only one with this odd problem. And that the issue hopefully will be solved some day ... in the future. Until then, it´s not much to do.

I solved this problem by deleting the contents of the folder c:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\ This folder stores game packages and profiles. I hope this helps you too.

That´s great! Unfortunatly I don´t have the .Limitless_ . But maybe i will found my version in some way.

It´s just crazy that we have to do this, searching thru database and systemfiles a friday evening trying to fix the game our selfes. Buying a game for 100$ or even more and not be able to use it for 3 days!?

This thread is a little old, but the problem sure sounds like the old UTF-8 bug. If you use non-English characters in your profile name ((ŁóżąśźćÜ, etc), then MSFS cannot read them, and you get a default plane and airport as a bug.

You either have to have a name with no non-English characters, or you need to enable UTF-8 in Windows, which allows you to use those characters. Here's a link on how to do that:
