eh, that's pushing it mate !
Have seen peaks of over 120Mbps.
I can pull 1 gigabyte (byte, not bit) in half a minute or less with steam.
Not my problem
Absolutely you can have higher speeds. But what does it help when you stuck in loading screen with 2kb/s? ;)
Talking about different issues.
So why even post such on a social forum, if you are just concerned about yourself.
I dont get to decide what infrastructure gets laid, if it were up to me I would be on a 1 gigabit connection, I live semi-rurally and so FTTP isn't an option for me or anybody else in my area, we have ADSL which means the further from the local FTTC you live, the lower the speeds.
Asobo needs to bring back msfs 2020's method of content delivery as an option for users like me who don't have a connection high enough to handle the amount of traffic that it uses.
2020 had the perfect balance of locally stored content and stream-in data.
The sim itself runs better than 2020 does, it's just the fact that aircraft, airports, textures and more all stream in vs 2020 where it was just photogrammetry that was streaming in.
Literally every time I play I'll need to download the aircraft I'm flying and the world data upon each load, This could be avoided if Microsoft didn't push cloud gaming so hard.
It's just not viable currently, not just for me either but many.
Give it a few more years when the infrastructure is there for more users and I can see it making waves, but currently it's just not quite there yet.
I highly recommend sticking with FS2020 and I am it would be logical gor Asobo to allow end-users to choose between streaming or perhaps certain data packages. I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news but it will be laggy and rendering will be terribly and let’s not forget, this is basically an alpha test phase of this feature. FS2020 is beautiful tho, I can play 2024 already but did not bother the install.
If you bought 2024 and want to keep it, just know it won’t perform the same for you. This is why I made this post, a lot of the bashers with slower internet have no idea yet what they are in for.
It lures people craving for a better internet speed into thinking you just found a huge workaround only to smash their hope on the ground in the finest "deal with it" manner.
It's not constructive in the slightest, eveything I love ROFL
Kudos! xD
It's because they never learn otherwise. They act like they ran permanently out of toilet paper, but then forget their banana internet speeds won't really make anything better once things get better.
Clearly you are here but not affected. So just here to troll.
* Internet service quality is always viable.
* Where Internet services are never intermittent or even die at times and you are left in the dark.
* Where even if you want to play at peak times, you do not find the Internet congested and slowed down because so many others want to use their Internet at peak times too.
* Where you have a fantastic selection of ISPs, fast Internet and reasonable fees.
* Where money is no object to guarantee fantastic Internet services.
* Where you actually see the advertised bandwidth instead of 10% to 80% of it.
* Where you do not have to share the bandwidth of a residential Internet service with the other occupants of your residence.
* Where fantastic ideas on paper always translate to the reality of the real world.
But sadly, many of us do not.
