Developers, please read – Cloud Gaming must be optional!
Hey everyone,

I really think Microsoft needs to make Cloud Gaming optional for MSFS2024. There should be a choice: either use Cloud Gaming if you don’t have enough storage space, or download the data fully to your PC if you do.

This way, everyone can decide what works best for them. The way it’s set up right now just doesn’t cut it. Cloud Gaming isn’t ideal for everyone – whether it’s due to internet connection issues, latency, or just personal preference.

Microsoft, if you want to improve the experience, please give us this option. That’s the only way everyone can truly get the best out of the game.

What do you all think? Would you prefer having the choice?

Of course I want that option but unfortunately they won't do it. If they had wanted it they would have done it from the beginning and if at the end of the game's life they don't release a patch so that it can be played offline, I will never again buy a game from this franchise or any other that requires a permanent connection.

Many people have banana internet connections, otherwise, it works flawlessly and is actually, the future (believe it or not).

Well this is not quite "cloud gaming". Techincally it is a "thin client".
But besides that, you can have everything locally. Everything goes through your local rolling cache. Give it a cache size of 500GB and you will eventually soon have everything locally.

That's not true, I have friends with a 1 GB connection just like me who haven't been able to play yet and NO, it's not the future because if we consumers don't buy it or play it there's no permanent connection, that's clear, do you understand? I don't think so, because if you understood you wouldn't have written that comment.

They won't be able to do it otherwise you won't get the textures in high detail that you are getting now. You'd need a hell of a lot of hard drive space to download the whole world.

Cloud gaming is the way to go in the future for all games, especially multiplayer, at some point people will have to upgrade their internet to have a better experience. Some might not be able to right now but they'll have to in the future or get left behind.

I am in a third world country away from datacenters in either Europe or US (usualy ping 60 to Frankfurt) and my experience with FS 2024 was excellent.

Still, I feel bad for everyone that cannot experience the same.
And I am with two hands in favor of getting more options.

My connection is fiber yes, but I yet did not try lan connection and was only playing with WiFi that is far in another room, playing with Series X and the graphics and the smoothness of the gameplay, even if its 30 FPS, are amazing for a console!

I have friends that have a 10GB connection, and they think they run a NASA connection, but when I ask them for their Motherboard info, and then find out their connections are bottlenecked to 1.2 GB, and that they need a 10GbE card for 80-120$, then they go "uuuugggghhhh, I had no idea"....

So the "I have friends" does not mean more than hot air....

It is optional, if you don't want it, play MSFS2020.

Do you have petabytes of SSD storage on your PC for the 2024 data?

There is nothing more empty than what you have just commented, very, very few people in the world now have 10 GB of connection, and there is no excuse in any way for the disaster that this has been since the game is not cheap, rather it is a joke by Microsoft and Asobo, that's clear.

stop talking rot. I have 1Gbps connection, the servers still have major issues. nothing to do with our home internet...

Hey folks,

Thanks so much for your feedback regarding the request to be able to download packages for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. We'll be sure to pass the feedback to the development team! :)

Every time you comment you show your ignorance more and more... 1.2Gb is vastly more than what this game needs. What are you on about?

Minimum connection needed for this game "Bandwidth: 10 Mbps."

Slightly less than 1.2GB my ignorant friend...

You keep falling into the mistake of believing that the problem with the launch of this game is due to the cloud or Azure, and that is not entirely correct, since there are millions of players in other games and services without problem, even using the gamepass (only call of duty handles a greater volume of data), while the problem of not being able to connect for hours or long waiting times only affected Flight Simulator.

This already tells us that we have to look at the whole of the game's developers and the way they have worked with the servers, but blaming the cloud itself or only the cloud is absurd.

Thank you for your efforts to make the game work well, as I plan to purchase the Aviator Edition in four days, as I have also bought a pack with all the peripherals to enjoy this game.
I hope and wish that everything is resolved as soon as possible.
Thanks again.

You may be right, but as you can understand, people's anger is justified and a company as big and with so many resources should have planned for all kinds of situations related to the game.
