Yes, that needs to be fixed. Just did my first freelancer mission. Took a sightseeing tour nearby which stated only 1100cr.....got paid out 31k. =)
How do you use AI crews in the career mode? Do I have to put the AI at the right airfields or do they just pick missions themselves randomly? I have enabled the crew on the plane via the company management tab. And since this game is online, can they do missions even when I'm not playing (The AI planes need maintenance I know so perhaps not)
Did it let you create the new company when you had the 10k before you had the 210k for another plane? Because I can't even create a second company even though I have 70k on hand right now.
You won't be able to unless you have the money for a 2nd aircraft too.

In general: You need for each company an own plane, so if you want to create a company for transport you need at least 240k (230k plane, 10k fee) to open up the company for it
