:"I think you do have to do some ratings. I don’t remember. So far I did PPL, CPL, Highpower, Multi-engine, IFR and Jet"
so at lvl 35 i guess
you'll need to save up about 35K as well to start a company and buy a used 172
It seemingly unlocked when I had stockpiled enough credits to pay for the beginner company (1,000) and a used Cessna (24K).
I started that company, a flightseeing specialist, and now can earn 20K for a simple first flight mission and 30k for a Flightseeing mission.
I keep seeing everyone spending all their credits on new licenses so they are not getting to the 25K credits saved mark. I only have the PPL and CPL licenses. I did not spend on anything else so they are not required, at least for the starter company.
But I agree that it should be spelled out better in game
It definitely took some grinding to get that much stockpiled.
It could be that the credits are not the only criteria but it was the one that finally unlocked the option for me.
At least from what I have seen so far.
Oh man thanks for this tip. I want jet engine next but its 30k and i have 26k. so ill just start the company and make money way faster. This is a grind.
Yeah, you can make 100K in like 3 Flightseeing flights.
Granted there is upkeep (and you'll pay a fee to move planes to the originating airport) but it seems fairly minor to what you can earn. I'm saving up now so i can get a Cargo Focused company. I like the Point A to Point B flights better than the ones where you take off and land at the same airport.
Currently doing a 130nm delivery, 60nm to go. Started a 170nm one and walked away for a bit while autopilot flew and came back to it stalling with an airspeed of 90 knots, spiraled and crashed with 78nm to go.
