VR performance
I would like to know how’s the performance for Vr in 2024 edition?
Compare to 2020, is it better or worst?
Thanks a lot!

I played with myy pimax 8kx in VR yesterday.
I used the standard settings in the game.
Personaly i think the performance was fluent and great.
I notised that the cesna 172 now is in the right size in my 8kx since in fs2020 the plane cockpit was to tiney and i had to use openXR and some software to make the cockpit larger.
Personaly i think the VR experience so far feel better and is better than in fs2020.

I also think it work well that we now can exit the plane and walk around and it look impressive in vr. You can also inspect your plane in vr, where you use some keyboard buttons to move around and then look and click with the mouse such as touch the flaps and move them up down to inspect.

everytime i have to start a flight i do however see a black box in middle of the screen, but if i press ESC two times then it goes away.
( i did not try to fly over any huge city such as london so i dont know how performance is there ).

Regarding getting the game.. My advice maybe wait a few days. It seem that many people still have login problems. Personaly mine was fixed and i can play, but other have a different experience and the devs are working on it night and day to make it work.

Thank you very much for your detailed response, that helps a lot!

It's worse for me. Probably due to my ageing PC, but it's not as fluid as I used to be.

Interestingly, the old settings I used on FS2020 make it run noticeably worse (80% resolution, no antialias), but using DSLL makes things slightly better.

No problems with vr so far…

With DLSS on better to me. Somehow I couldn't activate this in VR in FS2020.

Edit: But I have to add something seems off with the sitting position ..it feels like looking uphill in the MSFS A320 cockpit. But my experience in FS2020 is from the FlyByWire A320.

I have a vive pro 2, fs24 is unusable and keeps crashing - i've spent hours trying to get it to work.
improved for me.

So, basically you can have better graphics and also better performance in VR, sounds good!
Also, the DLSS in 2020 make things too blurry, this also get improvement in 2024 ?

for me performance is way way better. in 2020 i could not play vr with graphic settings on low realy. in 2024 i have them on high and ultra and have stable 72fps for vr.

Good to see the positive VR reviews. I am going to be trying out VR tomorrow on the PSVR2.

Pimax 5Kplus here + 3080 , on the tarmac of a florida major airport , checking the external parts of the 737 , i was surprised by the good performance. using openXR and TAA only , i did not tried DLSS. got a CTD in the cockpit then , don t know if it is VR involved yet.

I tried the VR with my Quest 3 today, and I think it’s a mixed…
My spec:
i7-9700k
4070 ti
32GB ram
Game installed in SSD

the game settings my VR graphics to medium but almost all are low if I click into it, also I turn on the DLSS to quality but still not very smooth considering how poor the graphics are..

Is this normal? Or I just did something wrong?
