HOTAS Controller with Rudder/Brake pedals not working
I have the Microsoft Xbox-branded Thrustmaster T. Flight Hotas One. I noticed the brakes do not work on the rudder pedals. They only act as binary triggers, locking the brakes into place when fully engaged. You need to set and release the parking brake to reset them. It makes taxing impossible with the HOTAS as you can't control the brakes except by locking them fully on or off.

I also noticed that no axis responds in the axis calibration menu. Using the built-in Windows controller setup, I can confirm that all the axes are working correctly, and this setup works in MSFS 2020.

Can anyone get flight controllers and pedals with analog axes to work?

My TFlight HOTAS 4 and TFlight HOTAS X aren't working either. I've basically asked for a refund. This issue and a bunch of other issues with the game are just too much for me.

I have thrust master warthog throttle, virpil rudder pedals and warbird stick and all my axis work. Took some time to get them to work and you have to look for rudder axis, brake axis, alieron axis, elevator axis.

Got in the game to check my settings and for my stick it uses aileron and elevator axis.
for my rudder pedals it uses rudder axis. for my brakes it uses Left brake axis, right brake axis, and for throttle it uses Throttle 1 axis and throttle 2 axis.

It's a shame and these pedals are Microsoft branded specifically for Microsoft flight simulator. Yes, the game was released prematurely and clearly isn't ready for launch.

Thanks for the info, do you see your axes move in the hardware calibration screen in game?

I mapped my rudder brake axes (Rx and Ry axes) to the brake axes, but I still see the brakes act binary and lock in place. The other axes controls seem to work. Given the poster above has the same issue, I believe it is a bug in the software specific to at least the TFlight HOTAS.

I never saw my axis move in the settings, had to keep going back into the aircraft and watch all the surfaces. What a joke this launch has been, should be a big embarrassment for them.

I have the same problem

I have the Thrustmaster TPR pedals. I had a similar issue at the beginning, but everything works fine now. I had to invert the axis. I might take another look at it this evening.

I keep having an issue with the nose gear. I have it bound and my planes just don't turn even though I see the nose gear move, and it seems worse on anything airbus, the A400m is the worst offender so far. its very frustrating.

same problem

Yep same for me, tried to map them and saved but still doesn't register the rudder when I use it on flight stick. I keep going around in circles on the grass. Q and E work but I can't use that while using flight stick.

I have Warthog Hotas and MFG pedals....all three working fine. Settings were even taken over from FS20. Didnt had to setup anything. Maybe check in Windows if your devices are properly recognized.

I managed to get the rudder to work on the flight stick, it was conflicting with throttle. I had to click rudder axis then the little cog symbol and remove it. Then I went back and clicked rudder axis again and set it to the button/slider on the stick, works fine now.

The only problem I'm left with now is no sound in the game, no engine, nothing. I guess that's the server side though.

Do your brakes work with the rudder pedals? I still can't get them to work no matter what mapping or settings.

No I don't have pedals, my rudder is on the flight stick, you twist it left and right. My trouble was the same thing was mapped for the throttle as well somehow so I removed it. Brake works now, I mapped that to one of the buttons on flight stick, took a lot of messing about to sort it out though.

been using a winwing F16ex throttle an stick paired with CH pedals , not really had many issues except that MSFS 2024 doesnt really like switches all that much and the throttle has them by the bucket load.

ive basically tried to keep similar mapping i have in DCS so i keep the majority of the muscle memory when switching over but some sacrifices must be made ... finally got enough flight time with the server chaos to get my commercial pilots licence. i just want to make enough money to unlock Helo careers.
