Why does everyone default to this...... in 2020 you could download sections of the planet as large or as small as you wanted to store.... I was able to download the state that I live in without downloading the whole world.....
They're fanbois and have an inherent need to shill for the game. Its the only reason.
Pretty sure that is how it works no?
Which is kinda ironic since part of the of the reason the market is getting delayed is because everyone is streaming.
Funny thing about that: If you set your Cache to like 500 GB the game now takes hours to claim 500GB on your drive. Yes, it instantly tries to block the space before something even needs it.
So no, setting your cache to a high number is stupid in another way
It only took me about 2 minutes to cache 100GB
You must be using HDD instead of SSD if its taking too much time.
I have 200GB in M.2 SSD allocated to rolling cache in MSFS 2020. I visit places in advance before I fly there in VR to load the photogrammetry data to avoid any slutters due to data transfer issues.
So far what I have seen is not that much better then MSFS2020 considering the streaming data workload is 3 times more.
It is quite feasible to have a compromise instead of your silly idea.
