No Game Pass Please

I wonder if this would have been much smoother without having it included in Game Pass for free. They should have let the people actually paying for the game have it a couple of months before letting Game Pass user have it. Pretty obvious you would have server overload with so many people trying to download on day 1.

Not only is game pass not free, which also means you are paying for the game, but by your logic it would make more sense for game pass owners to be let in first since game pass is owned by Microsoft, same as the game itself.

Releasing it on game pass will always be a priority to Microsoft as it was with 2020, to release on their own platform (Xbox). But I agree a staggered release would of been better, but for those that want a steam version they'd be the ones to wait and the priority be with those on the brand platform.

And in relation to "They should have let the people actually paying for the game".
Last time I checked game pass was not free, and if someone only has game pass just for MSFS then they are effectively paying £180 a year for it. So they are "actually paying for it".

That would mean someone that used game pass just for MSFS 2020 paid £720 over 4 years, compared to highest outright package right now. Who do Microsoft make more money from? And most people do have Game Pass for 1 or 2 particular games, the rest on there are pretty rubbish.

duh. I know Game Pass is not free. How much did you pay for the game ??. nothing apart from your Game Pass subscription which is for all the games included on Game Pass

Game pass will buy eventually. But that’s the whole point of game pass. Not our fault they screwed up the release.

Anyone here blaming the users of Game Pass. Not me ... All I was saying is that maybe there would not have been so much demand on the servers if Microsoft did not include it on day one release.... They have already said its over demand on the servers.. Shame I was looking forward to having a flight or two

I think he means it shouldn't have been available unless you buy the actual game, at this time. I would agree with that actually and what they should have done yesterday within the first hour or two is take it off the game pass until things are stable.

Why would you get the privilege to be the first one though? Game pass pays for the game as well. And like I said before, game pass and the game is owned by the same company. It would make 0 sense for game pass to not be allowed to play on first day YET steam users would. If anything it could be the opposite

I don't have game pass but you pay monthly right? And you get other games to choose from to play? So you're not solely paying for MSFS even though they put it in there.

People who have paid for the game upfront have paid solely to play this game only. They've stumped up more money to play it.

So the difference is the gamepass you can play other games for the money you pay per month unlike the money you paid to play this game only. I don't have a problem with it being on the game pass, they just shouldn't have done it from the start, just my opinion.

Aside from the obvious it isnt free, the game should have been rolled out in tiers for Pre-Orders by pricing, and GamePass users delayed at least 30 days.

pretty simple solution for MS. but, somehow it wasnt.
