¿Can we "Install" the data instead of "stream"?
I have seen on config that we have diferent categories. On the "Streamed" data, i can see almost all the packages from MFS 2020 like world updates and all this stuff, but on "installed" and "not installed" there is nothing.

So my question is, can we now or on the future force to "Install" all the packages instead of stream them?

PS: I have good internet connection, but as a laptop user i run on wifi and it's not the more stable bandwich, i would love to install 300 or 400gb of data instead of being constantly "Streaming"..

Microsoft Flight Simulator relies on Bing Maps data and photogrammetry, which cover over 2 petabytes (2000 terabytes) of data stored in Microsoft's Azure cloud servers.

He's talking about all the different areas that are more detailed where you could download the assets etc for that area in 2020, that made a big difference in loading times. Now almost everything is streamed and it's not ideal, multiple times my sim has just stopped loading anything waiting to start a mission in career so have to Alt+F4.

Yeah i mean that!

On MFS 2020 there was also "Petabytes" of data, but you could download locally tons of data , like the world updates , the planes itself etc.. All this stuff was saved locally.

Now i have seen that there is an option to "Install" and "installed" but they are empty and all the "World Updates" that on 2020 where "installed" now are "Streamed" so my question is "Will we be able to install it insted on the near future?" because i would love that..

I personally don't like streaming data for gaming..

i suspect maybe increase the rollingcache to bigger size (default 16GB) and expiry date (1day) to something else to reduce the streaming activity if you're on limited bandwidth

I actually did that, i updated it to 160gb but the problem is that it's still "Streaming" while i'm flying..

I would like to click on "Select all -> Install" , leave the PC for 2 or 3 hours downloading ALL the packages, and then play with local data only streaming the photometry and things like that, just like MFS 2020 was!

suspect think you need to fly for awhile in the same area to keep populating the rollingcache until everything loaded, its dumb but 2024 is build on cloud services . perhaps a feature enhancement later in future to download certain area to local

I've given up now on this tragic mess, looks like nothing more than cash grab as it stands. I believed in asobo and their advertising. If you can't do it with Microsoft behind you then how can it be done at all. No way this state wasn't know by both parties. Very sad.
Once they sort out the issues, we will have the option to install all the scenery packages like before.

Right now everything is on stream including the aircraft.

I really really hope you're right!
