Did anyone figure out how to download streamed content?
Hi Everyone,

I'm checking if anyone figured out how to download the game base that is currently "Streamed" I would like to have it in "Installed" status as my network sucks badly.

Thank you in advance for your help!

You might be able to copy downloaded content from another PC to %appdata%\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\StreamedPackages

You'll need like 3 petabytes of storage.

I thought Jorg said it was only 1.5TB?

Is that a butthole fact?

1.5 TB is without ground textures. Those were already streamed from bing since FS20 and weight some petabytes.

Your streaming issues can be fixed by using ethernet cable and not WIFI. Ive written a post about it recently.

the intent isnt to have everything on drive but to have as much as possible on drive for offline play.

Unlike in FS20, there is no offline mode in FS24. well you would still need the ground textures for offline. In FS20 it was possible to play in offline mode with generated ground textures, but those were looking extremely awful. However in FS24 there is no such possibility anyway. It blocks if you disconnect from the internet. At least the ground textures would need to be streamed. And this is basically where streaming is most relevant. It won't help you much if you would have the mesh, aircraft and airport data local but would still be streaming ground textures. You would still have same problems.

As i already said, in majority of cases with problems regarding streaming, it is WIFI that is the problem. Using ethernet cable, assuming you have at least 50 mbps line, should fix that.

PS: However in one of their dev streams they promised to implement a local offline mode in the future, where you would be able to download everything including ground textures for certain limited area. This is on the roadmap but we don't know yet when to expect it.
