No refunds? (over 2 hours trying to install)
I guess for us that have bought the sim that we won't get to refund it if we don't like it or it has *more* technical issues since we are over the 2 hour period in just the queue to install the game.

No they should still give you a refund, just explain whats happening. It might take longer because after 2 hours I believe a real person needs to look at it.

I am hearing that some are being denied the refund due to the 2 hours. It took 2 hours to install the game from within the game. Funny how Microsoft did that.

Take it up with your bank if needed.

DO NOT do a charge back on steam, they will restrict your account completely.

The automated refund will deny it because of the two hour rule. You will probably need to contact Steam

I submitted a request for a refund with over two hours of 'play' time because of the queue. Hopefully a human approves it. I don't mind paying $70 or even more for MSFS, but only if it actually works and doesn't make me waste all of my free time after I get back from work.

If anyone gets their refund approved with over 2 hours of play time, please share here.

I just submitted a refund request with 7 hours of "playtime", stating a reason that I've not been able to play the game.

It was approved within the hour

It is a real risk and seems that many digital store fronts are using this tactic now.

Not just digital store fronts. Try doing a denial of charge at physical stores and some will blacklist your card after one time. Most will do it after two.

I also refunded after five hours of attempted install on the $200 version. Approved and showed up with an hour.

you will get the refund. I did it after 10 hours and was refunded. games a mess right now. wish it wasnt but hey still got 2020 =)

Not wanting to influence you, you may have different reasons to refund, but having a very long time in msfs2020 I'm sure it will get better, I was very surprised that 2024 was launched so quickly after 2020 has become very stable for a good while...

You will get a refund no problem if that's what you want, if you link the devs posts in your reason why you want to refund it will be more helpful for them. I'm sure steam are well aware of the problem though.

Probably, I hope so, but I have had a similar case myself with another gem they said no our policy is blah and also blah.

If it's a normal game then the 2hrs will apply, can't comment on other games though. I mean I would say just keep a hold of the game, people will buy it again eventually. It's just because of the problems right now, I can understand people wanting to refund though, that is upto them at the end of the day.

Mine said i'd been playing for 25 hours when all i've seen is the loading screens for that amount of time ( I explained this when requesting a refund)..I was refunded no problem.
I'll wait until the game is playable and think about buying it again.
