I have both and Tobii honestly isn't good. TrackIR is still the best way to actually turn your head in a game.

I haven't been able to get in the game yet, but FYI TrackIR released three updates in the last few months. So if you haven't updated in a while, try doing that first. Then update the games list and restart the software. Maybe that will help anyone who is actually able to get into the game.

Nor is a joystick. What's your point?

It works. Make sure you run the "Game Updates" in TrackIR. It has MSFS24. Been using it for a couple hours

Thanks for this! You made my (and others) day!

You clearly dont even know what tracking is, if you think its not needed in a flight sim.

you don't get a headache moving head and keeping eyes centered on screen?
for tobii sake you can turn off the eye tracking and set sensitivity of head movement so you only have to move head slightly and it can go full turn..
I need to do this as last night in training my tobii was all over the shop!

My tobii isnt working. I don't have any settings for it in game, but the game does recognize it. I've gotten around it by using opentrack.

Thought you changed the setting using the camera setting whilst in the plane, theres no adjust settings in the main menu for tobii as far as I know (I couldnt see any)

EDIT: I have just seen the video for the opentrack setup & will be using that. Looks like it solves all issues

I understand your question. I'm flying and racing with TIR for years now and I can't without anymore. So convenient to steer to the left and look to the left gradually moving your head toward centre during rotation is a very natural movement. And no headache in these years. But that is just for me, can't say that for others.

I had the same problem with TrackIR in MSFS 2024, MSFS 2020 and Elite: Dangerous. I uninstalled the TrackIR software and downloaded and installed the older version, 5.4.0. Head tracking works fine in all now.
