Whatever the career mode turns out to be, I'm sure third-party developers will top it. I've been playing the excellent NeoFly 4 in MSFS 2020, and I anticipate a version a NeoFly will be released for the new sim as well.
From the short time I've spent in game i can see that quite a few mods/apps will essentially be redundant due to the inbuilt upcoming systems/mechanics. so some might fall by the wayside, but hopefully they'll alter their app/mod to update the new stuff.
it looks like there'll be plenty to do in 2024 compared to 2020.
I've been using OnAir VA Manager for a couple years now and really enjoy it. I used to fly on FS Economy all the time, but recently found OnAir's extra depth a bit more enjoyable.
Yep, just looked it up. Can't believe I hadn't heard of it till now. I like OnAir's Industries feature, which lets you build up Basecamps (bush airports) to produce raw resources, and then build factories at airports to produce goods to sell on the market. It also has AI pilots (depending on server) and attendants, as well as the ability to build your own FBOs and hire mechanics to maintain your aircraft. You also can build fuel tanks and buy fuel wholesale to save on your flights.
The only problem I have with OnAir is the ongoing subscription model (and it's slower than molasses at times, and a bit unstable). It's not exorbitantly priced, but I'm sick of the modern subscription market economy. Am I right in understanding NF is a one-time purchase (for the upgraded options)? I'm considering the complete bundle. Just hesitant with the new sim on the horizon and the possibility of having to buy it again in a couple months time.
It's made by a pilot and they have a good webpage. You can purchase on Just Flight. He's been making the game since MS9 I believe.

And then do cargo transport flights, you have light, medium and heavy.
Neofly and all these apps (which most are overpriced spreadsheets imo) will become obsolete except for boomers.
don't forget, not everyone will buy and fly 2024, so, for them, neofly etc will still be useful.
