will there be an upgrade-option to upgrade versions?
hi!

as topic already askes, will there be an upgrade possibility?

1. Say I start with the standart-version, later want to upgrade to the premium or even aviatior. of course this is possible, but will i have to pay the FULL PRICE again, so i'd had 80+220 dollars in the end or do i get a DISCOUNT (maybe depending on already owned version, std, deluxe, pro deluxe

2. will there be an option to pay ONLY SINGLE planes and thus correspondending missions from the higher ranking page. so say I have the standart version and only want "plane x" from deluxe-version as only "plane y" and "plane z" from aviator edition, will that be possible?

both questions answers which version i will purchase, as i am definitively going to purchase this awesome game..... im in since version 0.9 back in the 80's <3 so over 40th aniversary for me too...

greets from germany,

marcus

Here is the upgrade info for the previous version.

OG Purchase costs
Standard $60
Deluxe $90
Premium Deluxe $120

Upgrade package costs available from the in game marketplace
Standard to Deluxe $80
Deluxe to Premium Deluxe $100
Standard to Premium Deluxe $85

I fully expect something similarly bizarre this time around too.

Edit:

As for individual planes, I suspect the stuff from the Aviator pack will be available as individual purchases still but not the main bundle aircraft.

I bought the Standard Edition of MSFS 2020 on sale, back when it was called 'Game of the Year Edition'--so probably one year after MSFS 2020 was first released--for about $40 instead of the full $60. I then waited over a year to buy the Premium Deluxe upgrade when it was also on sale at a major discount. I recall that in total, I saved only about $10 over what I would have paid if I had bought Premium Deluxe at full price from the start.

If you know you want what is in the Deluxe or Premium upgrades, it is less hassle to buy an upgraded version instead of the Standard version. If money is a serious consideration, wait for a sale. And again, you'll save the most by buying the Premium Deluxe (or Aviator) version, instead of Standard, during that sale.

The Aviator tier is a collection of Asobo's DLC aircraft currently sold individually. I predict that these aircraft will continue to be sold individually. However, we'll all know a lot more on November 20.

thx, to both of you, gives me some insight.... and tells me to "simply" (cost is BIG considderation!) go straight the the deluxe, deluxe-pro or even aviator edition!

(OT: i remember a similar problem with "DCS" (combat flight sim) , the standart-version is FREE, but if you want to have any more planes or scenery, you have to buy it and buying all seperately makes you spen almost 1500 euros on it in the end. so maybe waiting for a xmas sale or newyears-sale is an option!, too!)

thank you
