Custom/Vertical resolution support (and on secondary monitor)
is there a way to have custom resolutions, took a look at boot.txt, nothing there
my primary monitor is 1900x1200, secondary monitor is 1050x1680 (already rotated, so the rotation option is useless)
i want to play this on my secondary monitor, and i see that there is an option to change it in the boot.txt, but when it launches into full screen, i just get an error Fatal Error! - can't reset D3D device.
this would be alot easier if i can play this in windowed mode and i can select a vertical resolution (9:16 NOT 16:9)

I am also having this issue, I tried editing my boot.txt and had no luck with this, I'm assuming the game requires you to have 1920x1080 and to keep the orientation as landscape so the game does the rotating for you.

Radeon R7 265
Three monitors (dell U2515H miniDP, TV HDMI, and a dell 2407WFP DVI in portrait mode in Windows 10 settings).

display_adapter 2

Works for me, without touching in game options.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for this! Your method worked for me too and now when I load the game I get it on my vertical monitor automatically without having to jiggle display settings beforehand. Makes a big difference to my mental process of "just having a quick game of Ikaruga" (i.e. I don't feel like it's a hassle any more). You rule! <3

2 years later, this saved me as well. Except "display_adapter 1" is what worked for my secondary monitor. Thanks so much!
