This is an update although I agree that it is only cosmetic. What you are thinking of is an upgrade. I would rather more practical scopes for certain weapons than skins that do nothing to improve using them. A 2x - 4x scope on long range weapons is a joke.

The client/website states, "GRAB THE UPDATE ON STEAM!"... but there's no option to do that on steam -- it's listed as a "regular update"... so shouldn't that mean it would automatically be downloaded and installed/patched?

i like it better than cotw cause its optional to pay for these things and no maps are locked behind paywalls with no way to grind except for duck and goose hunting setups which are insanely expensive. i myself have bought 150 dollars and have grinded out about 600k gms solo and its fun and easy especially with the people in the discord they are great people (I got perma banned from the discord cause i asked mods questions about the game mechanics and ended up pissing them off with a joke)

i was expecting something along the lines of the fallow deer update or something. I know they've practically given up on new maps since the games engine is old and they cant be bothered doing something that difficult but even so this update is abysmal

I admit it's a bit weird to call it an ''update'' when it's more of a weapon skin pack that's there to test if new content can finally be implemented in the game without bugs.

Anyway, I bought the 308 engraved and it looks really nice. Now, it could look better if the barrel colors were as light as the bolt (it's darker) and having a dividing line between the two is not very nice.

It could be confused with the 7x64 engraved but less well with its visual problems indicated.

How about you give us new guns instead of gun skins. Also it be nice to have a new map or 2 with new animals which ik you guys are more than capable of doing.

Out of curiosity where did you find the skin pack?

There is no need to answer, not that it looks like you were going to anyway, because the skin pack does not exist. The update is simply those weapons in new colours n the store. No wonder the download link for the skins does not work.
