Increasing FPS?
Hi, I love these types of games and only ever really found enjoyable ones on my iPad until I found this. But is their a way to increase the FPS after all the graphic settings being set to the lowest possible?

Perhaps there is an 'Advanced settings' option which I am missing somewhere?

Like all other games I have to play with a resolution of 1280 x 720. This really helps.
I am playing with a laptop with Geforce GT540M, not the most powerful system.

I also play in this resolution, but I still seem to have low FPS, I have sent a Support Request to theHunter Support, to see if they have any way of increasing the frame rate.

What are the spec's of the system you're playing the game on?
up top right when you launch game it says settings then you scroll down to game settings and adjust the graphics settings.

this game is actually quite intense to run on decent settings. so bear that in mind.

What amount of fps do we talk about? 30 instead of 60?

With the resolution of 1280 x 720 I play with
- High Scene Complexy
- Medium Texture Quality
- Medium Shadow Quality
and due to my weak system
- 1x Anti-Aliasing (which means "off" if i'm right)
- off Anisotropic Filtering
with a good framerate (I do not know the exact amount, it is smooth though)

The only drop I get is when depth of field comes in play.

I play with everything on the lowest and get around 15 FPS, barely that, I will post my specs but just give me a while.

There is no hurry.

One thing I can tell, I get a better framerate with theHunter than with Euro Truck Simulator 2.

And because of your post I tested some other settings in theHunter.
Either Expansive Worlds or Nvidia must have improved something since last time I did my settings.
Now theHunter runs smooth with High Texture Quality and 2x Anti-Aliasing, which means above 25 fps.

Oh, I see, theHunter uses all 8 threads / 4 cores of my Intel Core i7-2630QM.
Maybe the cpu is your weak component in your system?

I beleive my system is weak, although my laptop runs Euro Truck Simulator 2 perfectly well with around 30-50 FPS.

If any developers read these threads, may I suggest adding more options which increase FPS and help the game run smoothly. I am sure I am not the only person who suffers from this problem!

The developers have to draw a line at some point where lowering minimum spec to support low-end or outdated PC architecture isn't going to be viable, the analogy of trying to force fit a Ferrari F1 engine into a go-kart springs to mind. Let's face facts: the game is demanding on some mid-range PC's, lower-end rigs just need to try and keep up but if they can't, they cant.

Without your system specs we're just whistling in the wind. Post your specs to see if someone can help and bear in mind the following are the minimum specs recommened to run the game at its lowest settings:

CPU: Pentium 4 (3Ghz)
Memory: 2 GB
Graphics card: NVidia 7 Series (7600 or better). ATI X1900 (or better). 256Mb on board memory (for low & medium). 512Mb on board memory (for high) - Shader Model 3 required.
Graphics resolution: At least 1024x768
Internet connection: Yes

Last time I tried to play theHunter with Intel HD Graphics I got a framerate about 15 fps.
Just now I tried again and even with Scene Complexy to High, the rest at Low, I get 20 to 25 fps (1280 x 720). It is playable but ugly.

I have
Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
DirectX Version: 10.1
Minimum Graphics Memory: 64 MB
Maximum Graphics Memory: 1696 MB

While playing theHunter it says "Graphics Memory in use 120 MB"

Instantly I switched back to Nvidia Graphics. :-)
currently running this on a desktop using a Intel HD 4400 . 1280 x 800 and everything set a high ... game run smooth and by the look of it and run over 30 fps easy.
