.300 Carbon and .300 Composite
Whats the diffs here?? I see there are a few weapons that are similar, but they are made with diff materials....why?? Is one better than the other or is it all just a matter of taste??

Taste mainly but also in some cases like the winter camo bow it may give better camo on a winter reserve.

Secondly, for those who want the max possible Hunterscore means you can acquire Hunterscore points for both rifles. For players who have been in the game for years - well why not if that floats their boat?

The other reason is that if you own both, your weapon skill is the same for both ie you don't have to grind up in both carbon and composite which links back to my second point.

Actually, unlike most similar weapons, the .300s don't share skill level. This makes me wonder if they have different performance.

Oh sorry - I thought they did, like the different versions of the .223 and the 12 bore OaU

Apologies all and thx LeeMax

I thought the same thing until I checked.

Wait...your telling me that i NEED to own BOTH guns in order for them both to level up at the same time??

Not talking bout .300 only, but any gun in particular that falls under the same class or family??

So if i level up my Compound Bow, do i need to OWN all the other bows in the family in order to benifit from the fact that when i play with ONE bow ONLY the ALL level up at the same time??

Or

If i play with the Compound Bow now WITHOUT OWNING ANYTHING in its family, and then once i buy something from its family it will be the same level as my Compound Bow, in other words i dont have to own the weapons to benifit from the factor??

That's not the case for all weapons of the same type. If you own one .223, both share skill level. The same hold true for the .270, the .357, the 12GA pump guns and the Snakebite bows. I can't comment on the others since I don't have them.

There are two totally different .44 revolvers, and they have separate skills.

What's not shared between similar weapons is achievements. Each weapon has its own, which allows the hunter to gain a higher hunter score. If you want to get the highest hunter score possible, you have to own all weapons.

But owning only the compound bow now is still leveling up the other bows in the same class, thus when i buy them, they will already be leveld to my compound bow??

If you have the Snakebite, you'll level both Snakebites, but not the Parker Python. They're different models with different performance.
