How to use camping supplies?

I have plenty of space in my inventory, but when I try to drag it in there it just goes back to the lodge.

Cool down time on camping supplies is one in-game hour, and it's not used to fast travel to a lodge.

Camping supplies let you move from anywhere on a map to a tent or camp site. The further you are from the destination, the more supplies will be used.

Thread jack - has anyone found a way to split a large bundle of camping supplies into smaller packets so I don't have to be weighed down y a pack of 100?

No, there's no way. There has been talk on the official forum, I think one of the "Ask the Dev a question" threads about doing this. He answered it with a statement about a feature being implemented in Primal and bringing it back to theHunter. So we'll just have to wait. Stick your hundred pack on a shelf and buy 50 or even 15 packs for now.

chrisben1 - thank you; that also answers a question in another thread about stacking ammo (ie when you have a handful of rounds in three separate stacks and you want to combine them)

Both features exist in Primal which is why I hope they come to this game some time!

lol I waited for that until now. Still no option to split it. It´s also kind of weird because the most economical is buying the 15 pack. So with 100 you get an insane weight penalty and you pay way more! I think they should remove the option to buy them as you are just conning the user with the 50 and 100 options. As you fast travel to tent you can always buy new camping supplies so you are never limited to 15 per hunt though its generally more then enough.
