Tree stand hunting question , and advice
Hey guys , i am just wondering , the wiki says that tents work like a lodge , and nothing spawns around 150m of the tent , so that means that if i want to set up some tree stand locations i have to set up the tent away from the tree stand ? and also i am currently in a lookout for some good whitehart island tree stand locations for blacktail maybe , and coytes too , if you can help it will be greatly appreaciated .

The 150 meter exclusion only applies to where you spawn at the start. If you spawn at a tent or lodge then immediately fast travel to a tent it does not apply. There can be animals right on top of you when you arrive.

Towers blinds and tree stands can be placed around 25 meters from a tent, providing their is clear ground.

Tents can not be placed within 400 meters of a bait site.

If your stand has a wide field of view, (dont forget you can see out to 300m on the flat), then going directly to where you want to hunt becomes a viable method. I am in a hunt now where I spawned directly at a tent and shot a red stag at 166m straight off.
I have a tent and stand at the lake on whitehart and can see right over the lake there and can shoot every animal (except Bobcat) from that stand and often spawn directly to it.

I've spawned to a tent that was 10 yds from a tree stand. before I could crawl to the treestand I got an elk call. So, it doesn't seem like they were spooked if they call.

Even without the call I just wait 5 min in the treestand and I start getting calls and they come in.

I don't believe the 150m spook is that important and ignore it. I refuse to pay for camping supplies, so I don't fast travel except to a lodge which is free. I'll FT to a lodge when I want to get to the other side of the map and not waste an attempt in a comp.

I do none of this if i'm ding an 1840 hunt. No aids. Just walking.
