Premium weapons and the new mallard spinner bundle
I've never worked out what you get 'extra' other than a customised skin for the weapon. Is there any other advantage - the official forums don't seem to have anything to say on the subject.

Just mentioning this because there is a premium side by side 12 bore as part of the new duck decoy bundle. The offer saves you 2128 $EMs on paper but 500 of those $EMs are the extra cost of the premium gun - so as far as I know that's just a pretty skin and that's all?

Also you get 180 $EMs worth of ammo for it which you'll get for free as you're a member?

I've noted that the spinners are more expensive than the conventional decoys as well on the basis that a spinner = six conventional decoys in their luring effect. So there's another $EM 417 extra for the spinners compared to 18 conventional decoys at $EM 1560

Ok there's still a saving but it's a bit disingenuous - the bundle has approx $EM 1100 worth of goods that give you no appreciable benefit.

On top of that the side by side is the least favoured of my shotguns as the sight picture in the game is not very good (and isn't like a real side by side) which makes shooting moving birds harder than it has to be.

Yes I am moaning.

The S&S is my favorite shotgun and the Engraved version was the first shotgun I recieved my 250 harvests with. I seem to have better luck with taking my two shots and let it reload, than I am when using the pump action. I tend to fire off all five shots when I know that the last one or two are out of range. Just personal preference with which one to choose. As far as the spinner goes, I already have two complete spreads so if I get any spinners in the future it will be just for testing purposes. I'm not too concerned with saving whatever amount, if you enjoy the game any amount spent is worth it.

That's interesting - so it's 15 all for the side by side!

And indeed - if it's worth it, then it's always worth it, but I did wonder why both the spinners and the prem weapons were priced so high compared to their vanilla counterparts if there is no benefit...

The cost of the spinner doesn't make sense to me. 649 em$ for something that has the same effect as 600 em$ worth of normal decoys. Sure it's easier to carry and deploy, but how often does one move a setup? Just not worth it to me. And I see no benefit to owning the engraved shotgun that I assume has the same performance as the normal one. But hey, that's just my opinion.

There is no difference in performance between the standard and premium weapons. Its merely a matter of HOW COOL you want to look in MP.
Also your premium weapon will have the same level as your standard weapon after you make your first kill with it.
The ammo is of course useless to a member .... unless you want to load up more than 90 rounds in the backpack, but it makes a nice bonus, aimed at guests, who (might) want to buy the premium shotgun ( Yeah,, right ) and wouldnt have to buy the first three packs of ammo.

Now stop your moaning .. it dosnt suit you. LOL.

Also, the price of the spinners, if I recall has a portability premium added to its price, because the intention if I recall is that you'd take four spinners (instead of 24 still decoys) and 'test' various sites with the spinners, and if the areas work for you, either keep them there, or mark teh area for further development with a full still spread and blind and everything else.
