Also you forgot Ghillie camo, just saying.
Idk, initially I hunted in free clothes, and THE ONLY issue I had was big arctic foxes. They were detecting me lying prone from around 50m. So hunting them with a bow was quite difficult and frustrating. Also that blue basic suit is just looking unpresentable.
So I thought really hard about this and ended up with Sneaky 3D Arctic Bundle. This fixed all the issues.
Ghillie is interesting, but idk, often I have to readjust my position when animals are coming to the call, so I don't like the idea of having a constant added noise.
Fox bundle is looking goofy in my opinion, Traditional one has weak visual reduction, and I think that's the only camo type that really matters.
I don't care about scent. Normally I try to move against the wind of course, but I never use scent eliminator and I have absolutely no problems with hunting pumas and foxes and what not with a crossbow. (using electronic caller / motion predator decoy).
On other maps where it's not cold, I'm wearing an Outback suit adding some gloves and facewear on top. Just because I don't feel like buying a camo for each map and constantly swapping them. Works fine, as I sad - no issues with bow hunting at very close range. So, visual reduction is the most important imho.
i got the traditional at first, works well and since i dont rely on my clothing alone, i didnt realy notice much downsides.
got the fox hat and the white fur now. still no gamechanger, but visuals are obviously important.
movement is up to you, be smart and you get along.
this is the same with all other suits that have SOME effect, you can use them for roleplay though ;)
scent can be handled abc123's way.
but i belive that 50 uses can of scent reducer will payback, if you wear visual camo, like sneaky 3d.
i have those for almost all maps and use them with that. but again, no camo will cover your fails XD
in the end, its a game item, no real animals see that way.
and ghilie.. what can i say ^^ this is so weird ^^ its a sniper/recon suit that only works in the propper enviroment and when you dont move at all. its even worse when you move, like at hunting ^^
every military camo is useless agains animals and even humans will see movement, so camo will never render you invisable.
Arctic Fox is more of a skin suitable for female avatar
but if i recall correct now, they dont add noise like a ghilie or as in CotW.
and also dont add to your carry capacity ^^ that has to be bought seperate in the store, should be one of the first thing to do ;)
again, since i dont know how much you already have - the price for camo is in no relation to the use/effect.
its more roleplay and motivation to play, but will never be able to diminish your mistakes.
as not too serious example...
if a deer looks at you, standing motionless, it will take a few seconds to actualy identifie you as a human (like the time we need to spot, until the outline flashes) - now in full camo this will add another second or 2, but eventualy you will still be discovered!
yes, thats a very simple explanaition.
