Male Lynx

Today im suppose to spot a male Eurasian Lynx on Hemmeldal as a daily mission (2* mission) Can anyone give me tips on how to find them without callers/sprays/dogs/e-callers (because i dont own these yet)? Is there a difference between male and female call?

no difference in the calls from each gender.

lynx are shy, the Jack Rabbit Caller will sometimes attract them, BUT the can see, hear and smell you very good.
i have had good luck in the western/north west parts of the map, but as so often... they can be all over the map ;)

the E-Caller is quite effective but because you dont have one, a MP is again your best chance (but not only). it is possible to see them far if you are sneaky, finding fleeing tracks and move carefull after them was already successfull for me.

as i once noted in another post, long ago and in my guide... the dailys are not realy balanced for newer players without the according gear.

it is a nice addition to keep players attracted and will generate some coin, but the effords you have to take to get there are sometimes too much. these continued, uninterrupted missions are sometimes even for experienced players not easy.
its is also not realy easy if you have to find a track or spot a predator and that needs to be a specific gender. there is some inconsistency in the missions they chose for dailys.

i can understand that you want to complete them, to gain the benefits of the 100% increased rewards, but i can asure you, you will get to points where you may miss a day or cant complete one out of whatever reasons.
in that case you need that 3.600$ resume ticket - far to expensive for a player who is building up some wealth for gear.

it may be a better experience to concentrate on the regular missions, until you can waste those $ to continue the dailys.
you are spending alot of time to find difficult animals, while you could complete easier regular ones that pay well, and much more in the long run.

Shame im short about 3400gms + another 1615 for the add-on, would have made it much easier for me to complete it. I did find a track from a lynx, but due to me having low lvl (lvl 2) in tracking, i cant know if the lynx is a male or female. I tried following it but here came another problem of me not seeing the tracks properly in the snow, so when i found the following track, it was long gone.

thats what i mean with dailys are not for beginners (not even for all experienced XD).

i have to do some real life now (30mins??), but i have setup an MP again for you (Balmora Corner Club). e-caller tripod and a motion decoy, also spayed some lynx urine at the tent in the west.

hope you can find something :)

as you noticed now, those dailys arent meant for players without alot of gear ;)

they are nice, but can be failed at any time. even with experience and gear, they arent all so easy, and will waste some time.
time you, for example, could spend better in completing regular missions for good Gm$.

if you have that inventory upgrade, i would advise to go on and buy the jack rabbit caller and maybe the 2-10 scope for the .243 and that .300. will make life easier and you will earn that money back in no time.
the deer rattle works also for 2 species and the hog/boar caller, then get whatever you like to hunt alot, elk, moose and roe, ... whatever.
regular missions pay well enough to focus on them, but even roaming maps is successfull and will pay out.
the camo gear works but has not that huge impact that would justifie to buy them early.
callers are more important, tmo because you can force a callback and sometime attract your prey. that will allow you to get a better awareness of whats around you.

but again, thats just my opinion ;) i roam everyday successfull on any map. mostly just with my guns and some callers and scent reducer.
