Tracer arrows?
Why bother?

Bought 'em, used one (crossbow on a fox) and went..... so?? Did I miss something?

Huntermate beacon? Pretty colours?

EDIT: See post #16 for "whine" retracttion. TLDR: They work.

The tracer arrows are Premium. And in the store put that they are not reset to spend them on hunts, look at it. I use them to practice in Redfeather Falls in the Archery Range area. There are not spent

La flechas trazadoras son Premium. Y en la tienda ponen que no se reponen al gastarlas en las cacerias, míralo. Yo las uso para practicar en Redfeather Falls en la zona de Archery Range. Ahi no se gastan.

Thank you for the reply but I'm trying to find out why I would bother to use them over the "standard" crossbow bolts.

I've never used them, but I don't think they give any advantage.

I think there for big game not fox, stuff that can live and run like bears, or elk... The point is it makes the target you hit easy to see and track especialy if it dies 100 meters away, or survives the shot, and must be retracked and hit again

Nope. There is no tracking advantage at all. It made nothing easier to see after being hit. I used them on moose etc. for squat,

For a "premium" arrow I expected a Huntermate beacon or something. Nada.

Wasted expense tbh.

Well good to know, don't have a bow or xbow yet hoping to get one on payday though.

Don't get me wrong, xbow is divine, especially on "double" foxes etc... just can't see the point wasting em$ or gm$ on "tracers"...

If they want to make them "bought" as it were, they need to do more. Pretty electric blue neon doesn't do much for me when it costs craptons of money.

My main reason is I am sick of does, and elk cows hanging out with me while I hunt. Nothing like spoting 40 animials in one session then realizing 34 of those were females in the same area as one male. I just want to take down the damn things so I don't keep seeing thme or their tracks. I mean yesterday I had 5 does all around me while I was laying down calling the one buck in the area. Just as he showed up a doe got spooked and sent him running and I had spotted all the does so I had to spend 5 mins sorting out the doe trails so I could find that bucks trail, and next time I got near him same problem called him in and got more does... Wasn't even that big of a buck, but man he had his pick of the herd.

This....errr... problem....changes as your tracking skills go up. :)

I knew which trails were female there was just so many becuase I had them hang out with me for so long, it made it a pain to find the one none spotted track. Must have been like 20 trail markers with only 1 fleeing mark from the male, so I had to keep checking till I saw that one trail with out the doe pick on it... Same thing happend me and afriend were tracking bull elk, we had a whole pack of cows following us as we tracked and called out to the bull. And every time we lost the bull I would fine like 6 cow tracks in a row before I found his trail again...

I mean one hunt I had this cow elk so close to me through out most of it, it was like she was on a leash, I wanted to shoot her so bad just to stop seeing her all over, but every time I got my gun ready to do it, my hunting buddy would say "I found a bull" and I would have to let her live to keep the bull form fleeing from the gun shot..

I mean every time I find a good spot hear a male I set up a trap and call it out, a herd of does passes by and they just walk right up to me lol. At one time I had like 6 circling a tower I was in, I kept joking that they were my live decoys for a buck. I just want to silently put down that herd, get back in the tower and call out that buck lol

In fact my first post I was siting in a tower with a doe circling it lol. Waiting for a buck to get close enough to officialy spot to get my skill up before I shot him.

Aha. How does it tell me? By being able to be seen in the grass presumably?

I've never missed yet so I don't know :)

Use gms to buy if your gonna try em, I wouldnt recommend ems, just do some missions and grab consumables. Camping supplies, first aid kit and scents I find are most useful consumables. The arrows are pretty cool if your hunting with others to show off your shooting skills so they can see where you shot it, thats about it.
