No, there are already 2 rifles to hunt geese with.
its relative quiet, has two very cheap ammunition types, for small game like pheasants and rabbits, and another for goose/turkey sized birds and small predators like fox and such.
to OP....
its a game, something many people often forget (in ALL games^^). this one has the "ethical ammo" thing that other games may not share (CotW), doesnt mean its like real life ^^
like all games, we have to adapt to what we have, the design choices are not made by the players. asking why is a little too late, this game is over 10years old^^
befor you buy a weapon in this game, look at the permitted list and decide if you even want to use that
sidenote... those canada goose are often gone befor you get close enough for such a gun. if you have a setup for goose then it may be of use, but i guess a shotgun is prefered then.
