An expert guide to safely and effectivly hunt POLAR BEAR
As a Polar Bear hunter i have spotted, tracked, harvested and studdied some 50+ polar bears in my time on Thehunter. Please read the following steps so you too can hunt bears effectivly.

Tip#1- Bears will only notice you in the 35m range. Beyond that they dont see you. this means you can litterally RUN right up to them without them knowing.

Tip#2- Bears are more common OFF THE ICE!!!.This is an advanced tip, so once your a good bear hunter use this tip. every single person on youtube and even the wikis will tell you to go along the ice. That is the safest way to hunt the bears as you can see them a ways off. But the land area is much more common bear area. especially to the right or east of the northern lodge. along the mountains. Or near the top peninsula.

Tip#3- Go with a buddy. In some areas iv noticed that i dont see some bears untill iv run over a small hill and then i have to shoot the bear before it mauls me. If you travel with a buddy you are able to spot them faster, and die less.

Tip#4- Where to shoot bears. The best spot to shoot a bear is from the front, hear me out. The polar bear can shrug of allmost any round including .454, 45-70, .50 muzzelloader, and .300. so you have to shoot them in the right spot. If you spook them by getting close the in most cases (40-1 ratio) they will charge. you can shoot them over the head through the neck with a rifle or bow this will stop them from killing you but may not kill the bear. Below the neck and head through the vitals is easy way to kill them on the spot.
Apart from that shoot near the front at the top of the front legs height for lung shots, this is for broad side shots.

Tip#5- If you spook a bear and cant see it, or didnt know a bear was nearby you will hear it barking huffing and roaring, youl know when you hear it. if you have this SHOOT YOUR GUN ASAP! this will scare the bear away and you should be able to find it soon after. if this fails...good luck hotshot your on your own now.

Tip#6- Male or Female? The best way to tell a bears gender other than spotting, is its tracks. I have not found an easy way to determine male or female from the calls they give off but rather from the paw prints that they leave. Male Prints are large in size and point forward. The females are pointed inwards or slightly slanted and the paw itself is much more rounded and shaped less square. The size is allways a dead giveaway, male prints are much much larger.

Good luck with your hunts. Any questions or something you think im wrong about please do post it below as im trying to be a fountain of information for polar bears. If you guys want extra tips please let me know below.
The rest of this guide will be a study i have been doing for the last 2 weeks on Polar Bears.

#1 The agressive nature of Polar Bears.
In my time with Polar Bears i have only seen 1 bear not attempt to kill me. This Bear was a female, 185kg and scored 22 points.
She seen my behind her, turned towards me, roared then fled away. I am unsure of why she did this but i do know that bears will spook if you fire a rifle or injure them. No rifles or bows where used untill after she fled. The action of this single female has led me to belive that Boar bears (male) are more agressive, as i have never had a male not charge. One other Polar Bear action i have seen is this agressive dance. After a bear has noticed you it may jump side to side as if its examing you or attempting to scare you off. I have also noticed bears do this in low visibillity areas as if its theyre way of letting you know you have got to close and now your in for it. But this dance is not allways the case as some bears will charge within 4 seconds of noticing you.

#2 Things Polar Bears like.
Polar bears seem to love trees. I estimate that they spend about 55-60% of theyre time in concealment. They allways seem to stop somewhere in the trees and examine the road ahead of them. But when in the open they seem to stop less often. They spend so much time in the woods that i estimate, that if a hunter was to walk along the ice flows hunting bears, for every 1 bear he sees on the ice, he has missed 3-4 on land. The reason for this? Polar Bears do not call or roar very often. They seem to do it maybe 1 time for every 5-7 mins. Enough time for a hunter to walk past and never notice them. One other tactic bears use when on the ice to hide from hunters is ti swim under the ice. They will dive down and swim for up to 2:28 mins in the longest recorded case. The bear that did this was a male, 28.4 points and was 483kg. This time spent under the ice was long enough for my partner and me to wonder if we lost the bear or if it was a glitch. But then a second time we had another male do the same thing. Only this time he scared me by coming ou of the water right next to me about 2m away. We did not retrive the bear as i shot him with a 12g slug and he slumped into the water. he spent around 1:15 min under water.

they are pretty easy to find all you need to do is start at any time.at Danforths Refuge.go to the ice rafts and just walk behind the lodge all the way down the shore.

After a while i suggest going on land. its harder to get closer but you will find better scoring bears and have a more challenging hunt.

I appreciate it that you try to help others, but I don't understand why you feel the need to exaggerate and to use the word "expert" 3 times. You only killed 23 polar bears and no more than 110 anmals so far. To put into context; many of us killed literally thousands of animals, the best ones even close to 90,000 and more.

Lol its the only thing i know how to hunt. Im a huge bear guy IRL sorry if im comming acrose as arrogant or like an ass. just trying to give some tips for everyone.

It is in the way that you may not see them. Or that they may become agressive before you notice them. Huge fan of your youtube channel Ron love to hunt with you if your up for it. Thanks m8.
