The caller appears to be better solo, the flag is best when another hunter is using it while you're calling and the luring chance stacks.
If I am in MP and a player has the long rnage I will use the flag or vice versa - hope that makes better sense. If alone - either as as good as the other
When I'm hunting on my own I use the long range caller for 3 or 4 blasts, then change to the flag. If I get any breakers I change to the short range.
I've tried just the flag and short range and just the long and short range before settling on this method.
To be honest I have no idea if any method works better than another!
As someone already pointed out, if there are 2 of you hunting then the long range caller and flag will stack, but not 2 flags or 2 long range callers :)
also in mp there is a age old sound bug with callers with other people calling and the sound just looping. to stop the looping sound if it occurs the one who called needs to call once more then it stops.
