...unless they added an algorithm that insures there's an animal or 2 on the map every spawn (game start) that meets the criteria and we just have to find it, as they guarantee for other missions like that.
True that, in the past day or 2 i shot like multiple 180s and like 4 190s....with the highest bein 194.9.....thx god we got alot of time for this event, bc i gona need all the time to get that 200+ mule deer.
That is very true Hoo. Always been preety lucky with it comes to some of the other deer species like reindeer. That 200+ muley gona take some grinding to do. Lucky i got 2 really good golden treestand spots setup for them. normaly it takes under 10 game mins for them to come into a call. In the end of the day i just love to hunt them and see what the scores are incoming from the calls...soon hitting that 1k goal of the muley.
Fun fact. Mule deers was one of my least hunted deers before timber, but when they added timber i got alot of them, i just really love the map overall.
Gl on getting that 200+!

Damnnn that 199.2...id hit my keyboard and break it lol. i dont see many 199 tho more like 195ish. Better luck next time.
Im helping a friend of mine to get the missions done as well.
LOL that 199.*** is a kick to privates. You're getting closer than I am with the MD. Does hunter and weapon skill matter? Like the higher our hunter score and skills with weapons, spotting, and tracking them the better the chance of finding a high scoring one will be? Or is it the randomized spawn thing?
Objectif:
1. Harvest an airborne Turkey with a heart shot at more than 100m (approx. 328 ft).
2. Harvest a charging Bison with a single shot under 5m (approx. 16 ft) with any ethical vertical bow. No Crossbows.
3. Kill 3 Coyotes with one shot.
Where the mission ''A Hard Nut to Crack'' can be done by simply walking around the maps without even focusing on the species (you find a big one or not), here, you have a focused objective and in at the same time horrible.
Now, step 2-3 is not really hard BUT hitting a turkey in full flight over 100m and in the heart, it takes luck and motivation. Killing him at more than 100-200m would have been acceptable but heart 100m in air, that's masochism (I would like to see whoever designed the challenge do it). I'm glad the other missions weren't as horrible
1. I manage doing that often at tower 6 on Whitehart with the .17. The .22's can probably do it too. Heart shots on Turkey's happen often. Birdshot or archery doing it at 100m? Probably not. This screenshot shares the .17 has the range to do it:

2. Something I've also done often because I get too close to aggressive animals too often. Snakebite. Aim for their nose. It goes through their jaw, it usually hits their neck or heart and drops'm. Carry medical kits if they manage to survive and you don't. It doesn't say we have to kill it immediately.
3. Buckshot. Done. Easy to get in that situation? No. But it's possible.

I hit all 3 at the top of the screenshot with buckshot. I aimed for the closest one's head using the red dot scope. 2 of them dropped dead immediately, the other bled out.
Probably true. I camp in a stand at hotspots. I think I have a chance of getting a 200+ Mule Deer eventually if I keep at it. I'm trying it at Timbergold in the only treestand I have on that map at the intersection of the roads south of Fred's Last Stand.
I'm not saying these missions are super easy, they're definitely not easy. They are possible. Getting in the situation for them is the hard part.
Hunting for that elusive blonde spotted pig, nothing at the bait
site so shot another grey bobcat (Because it was there ) then
walked out across the big meadow with the stone walls and
shot a couple of pigs, then going to pick up the last pig I
spotted a mule goose stepping across the meadow.
Threw up the rifle to get a reading but lost him behind a bush.
climbed up on a knoll went prone and kept looking for him to
reappear. While Im glassing I hear the tip tap of foot steps behind me .
Spin around and here comes another mule deer less than 20 yards away.
Change to the rifle, oops not the 223 idiot ,and swap it out for the 30R.
By now the deer is almost on top of me. Throw a site on his chest and hit
the fire button. Just as I shoot he spots me and spins, and gets the bullet
rear end, crashes down on the spot.
He looks big, Im guessing 190 or so but when I harvest its a
