Bug or cheats?

So in the range leaderboard there is this guy who killed a dall sheep from 12332.590 m (40461.3 ft) with a shotgun and this other guy in the hall of fame who killed a flying mallard with a shotgun from 8766.020 m (28759.9 ft).
Do the devs even care about the game?

I agree. No way could the long shots in the Leaderboard or in comps be reality. It's gaming exploits and should be banned. I've stopped entering any comp that is the longest or shortage distance.
Not much I can do about the Leaderboard though. I just go for high score and ignore the distance.

No sense in having competitions and a Leaderboard if it isn't going to be honest. Maybe that's why they didn't put them in COTW?

Yeah in COTW it's even worse, multiplayer sessions are often filled with people running around at light speed and killing everying within seconds but at least there is no comp there.

I did not post any name and i did not stalk anyone, i don't care who did what i was just scrolling the leaderboards and came across this weird stats and wanted to ask a couple questions about it.

Not really Classic had it's moment when it was a sub game, Devs moved on to COTW since release, hence why COTW is only getting new maps added now and way more attention in advertising.
+ COTW more popular = more money for them.

Well, i'm coming from COTW.
They add new maps and dlc but they don't fix bugs nor listen to the community.
A lot of players are leaving that game too.

Yesterday there was the first guy on the event leaderboards who kiled 61 animals in 12 minutes, all from about 3 meters.
I was about to make a thread about it but i didn't because i wanted to see if the devs are checking the results or they are sleeping.
Needless to say the guy is still on the leaderboards.

Edit: Lol the new first is probably using the same hack... 126 kills in 42 minutes, all from 3 to 7 meters.

It must be some sort of teleporting hack. Looking at the stats he's definitely not tracking them. People on COTW servers complain of people zipping around the map at light speed killing everything in sight. It must be a similar hack.

look close at some harvest logs, you will see they are doing fast half hr hunts with like 12 kills on rabbits from same exact place on dozens of hunts,,..i hunt rabbits lots in this game and never ever seen or shot 10 or so cottontail within a meter all killed every hunt, lol

I don't get this team , if they want to prevent cheating , stop making these comps single player , stop it , most of these cheats are designed to work only in single player .

I think these guys who make absolutely ridiculous scores are ok. They point it out very clearly, that something is wrong.

I don't really take part in competitions anyway. Prices for just 10 people no matter how many people take part is just not motivating. If it would be like in poker that lets say top 10% would get at least something, it would make more sense. Although winning something like 20 em$ would only be useful if people take part in many competitions. Still it would make more sense to take part in this cup thing. Of course top 10 players would still take most of the money.
