Predator "JackRabbit" Caller Luring Coyotes
i have read alot about luring coyotes specifically using the caller, but no one has mentioned if i have to hear the presence of coyotes or not, i have been moving around trying to fond out if i need to first locate coyotes before calling them to me. I am extremely irritated from hving to track them and scrwing with my head so i bought the caller and i dont know if im doing it right, im calling multiple times from an open area and walking to a tower to spot them, its taking for ever...

Ideally you should know that there is one nearby, either by hearing it call or spotting it. This way you know there is a coyote coming in for sure.

Otherwise, you can use the caller, but you have no idea if a coyote is around, so it's just luck whether or not one (or more) shows up. If you're doing it like this, call, move back 30m from where you called, go prone, wait 5 ingame minutes, and if no coyote shows up, walk 200m and repeat. I'd reocmmend just walking until you hear a call and then use the caller though. Remember the caller range is about 150m.

Maybe you aren't waiting long enough after calling...5 min is usually enough.

Make sure you aren't running too much.

The caller range is actually 220m for Coyotes, but only 100m for Lynx and Bobcat (for some reason). Good tips from KingGhidorah though. I would only add that if you like to hunt them, run around and click every track you find to increase your tracking skill for coyotes. This should go pretty fast as you will most times run after a whole pack. If you tracking skill reaches 6, you will start seeing the age of certain tracks which helps to understand how far you are behind them. The accuracy of the age estimation further increases at tracking skill levels 12 and 18.

It does not matter how you call them, whether once or 10 times. If they are within a 150m circle, they will come trotting.

Coyotes are hunters, just as you are. When call on them, be sure when they hear it, they'll check it out very carefully, and even from another direction. So therefore it's also good to be patient and it's good to know if there's one nearby or after spotted one.
Same with fox, they even try to check it out while stay hidden if it's possible etc..

i can tell you this learn coyote good locations first. this will save you lots of wasted time. if you have limited time to hunt them. tower 6 whitehart. put a tent on it. go in tower and watch down the meadow. you will see coyote or...hear them howl. loggers point middle tower or bottom tower. same again put a tent on them or hunt around there. great coyote locations. they roam round in groups. you will get upto 8 of them unless two or more groups merge.

calling just call and watch them repeat the call which can just one short blip of the jack rabbit caller and repeat it say every 30 seconds until you hear or see them. in stands sometimes they will spook directly below you. good luck.

You can hunt lot´s of coyotes early in the morning or 16:00o´clock. At least i find the most coyotes at this time. You may hear a coyote, then u just need to call back (and go a few steps back) cuz they will charge at you. If you dont hear cojotes u can still call and may u have luck. Use a tripod or tower
