Go into the keyboard settings and shift the dog commands to the nunber pad on your keyboard.
Assign your numbers ( or key tags ) as they suit you best,
I use
8 ( with up arrow ) to send the dog out.
2 ( with down arrow ) for come.
3 ( page down ) for sit .
1 ( End ) lie down.
5 ( get in the blind ))
Etc.
Once set up it only requires a tap on the key to send the dog its commands.
Works for both dogs.
This is about 10 times faster and means you can continue playing without having to use V and then tie up your mouse while you give the dog its instructions.
Does dog still track animal to its death spot ??
If its bled out and dying the dog will track to the death spot.
If its only wounded and stopped bleeding the dog will give up.
Sounds cool. Have you tried it already with theHunter ?.
Got him to get ducks , though same command would work on tracking but no.
Well whats the command to get dog to track a animal
Got him to get ducks , though same command would work on tracking but no.
It does, BUT.........The duck dog ( retriever ) dosnt track.
You need the scent hound to track.
To get the scent hound to track you have to click the huntermate on the blood track then imediatly give the dog the track command.
If the dog loses the track ( happens ocasionly, particularly with new dogs ) you can reset it by doing the same on any other blood track along the way.
Dogs are not the be all and end all of tracking aids, they tend to be a little slower than a highly tracking skilled hunter but they are fun and useful in thick brush or when you have two animals wounded or you shoot another, you can track one while the dog tracks the other.
The dog gps is another item you should invest in .
