New Species: Feral Goat
Hello hunters! I just wanted to get a discussion going about the feral goats. Do you like them? What are your favorite spots to hunt them? Do you think they are represented well in-game? Please comment anything about the goats! I'm eager to see what you all have to say!

They are great fun to hunt! Have had a few singles and pairs, and just now came up on a herd of maybe 8-10 animals.

I noticed that initially they almost only spawed in herds, but now it is somewhat uncommon to see a large herd. They must have switched the spawning over in the server.

Just the luck of the draw I think, and where you happen to go.
On my first run through I only saw singles and pairs but my last two sessions I saw two mobs in each, 9 and 10, then 5 and 7.

Had 5 sessions and killed 44 goats.

On my first run I had a group of around 7 just outside of Walkabout Creek. I saw two more groups in the same session but only groups of 2-3 since. Not bad getting 44 goats though!

Yeah, I have a route that I like to take following the cliffs in the northeast of the reserve. There are a few locations that I always see goats in and the cliffs provide a great height advantage to get the drop on them. Not quite willing to set up tents just yet though.

I just happen to take that same route and finally dropped the first three goats I spotted up that way. None were on any very high cliffs just two on some small hills and one down on the valley floor.
bottom right area holds loads.you can also drive them towards that area and if you have a tent you can slaughter many animals.

I just shot a feral goat with the 8x57 with lung blood. It healed and stayed alive. Could not track it down. Head cold. lol. The blood stopped and I tracked it for 30min. That goat healed it's lung.

Considering my 8x57 is my go to bear/moose rifle, that is impressive, I've only seen one, got with a .223, cornered him on an island so he couldn't get out
