Sorry.
The game uses a lot of server side stuff. There have been requests for offline play, with the proviso that anything you do offline doens't count towards your scores and levelling up, but as most of the animal spawning mechanics are handled server side, then it might just be "too hard to do"
The beauty of offline play is that players who purchased the game can still enjoy it long after the devs have moved on.
There's a good point to that. I still play Deer Hunter 5 now and then. Graphics suck but it's still fun. I don't care for Call of the Wild because it lacks things every hunting game should have. Namely tree stands and blinds. There are none at all in the game, at least there weren't last time I checked which might be as long as 2 years ago. But that is why when I have the urge to play a hunting game I play classic for the realism. theHunter Classic is much more of a simulation than Call of the Wild is. You have to actually hunt them in classic, you can just walk around and find them in COTW, especially bears.
They just made Classic completely free to play about a year ago (?) which was a great improvement. They would have to change quite a bit to make it playable offline. I, too, would like to be able to play Classic offline but I highly doubt that's going to happen. They're not going to do much more work on an old game they're not getting much income from. Running the servers is an expense. We should be grateful they're keeping the servers going and enjoy it while it lasts. I think their gesture of making it Free-to-Play was also a gesture waving goodbye.
The players should be grateful they decided to do what they did making it mostly free to play. They have plenty of other titles they're probably making much more profit on than they are with this 10 year old game.
