A Hat in Time

Pro Controller not responding correctly
So I just got a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller that I want to use with A Hat in Time. According to the site, this game should have native support, once I plug it in, the controller is recognised no problem. But the game gets inputs I'm not pressing at a fast rate, like an input every frame.

Hat kid would walk forward, jump, attack, crawl, open the hat menu, use the hat's ability and look up without receiving input from me at an unbeliveably fast rate. It will even get inputs while the steam overlay is up. It's not the controller, It's brand new and It works just fine in other games, even with a hat in time with the Pro controller to 360 emulation support. It's a bit annoying, even considering that the game would display the 360 button prompts.

I validated the files multiple times, tried connecting and disconnecting the controller during the game and no luck.

This issue seems to be on Steam's end. Try using it wirelessly via Bluetooth.

I can't test it wirelessly as my computer doesn't have a bluetooth adapter, I mean, I plan on getting one. Wireless > Wired :steamhappy: But in the meantime is there no other solution? like having the game show me Pro controller prompts regardless of my controller' emulation.

Sadly the only way you can currently get ahit to show Pro Controller prompts is with using wired or wireless. There are other ways to use the Pro Controller without these issues, but with displaying Xbox prompts. One such way is enabling Pro Controller configuration support in Steam Big Picture.
Also, check if your PC natively supports Bluetooth. You might not need an adapter.
